    (Portland)

    Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

    Our mission to change wound care and improve the lives of others isn’t easy, but it’s worth it! One in ten residents in a skilled nursing facility will develop a skin condition requiring expert medical care, and one in four patients will be discharged home with an open wound. We believe that every person deserves the very best skin and wound care. Building and leading skin and wound care teams is how we do it! Our skin and wound care providers bring education and encouragement to the people who take care of our patients 24/7. When they get better at their jobs, our patient’s wounds heal faster and that is our goal!

    Who we are looking for:

    The best leaders… who also happen to be licensed Nurse Practitioners (NP, ARNP, FNP, APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA-C). Our team is growing and we are looking to add another new provider in Oregon.

    What winning looks like:

    Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teamsTravel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, in an assigned region Provide the highest quality skin and wound care services to patients Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients’ health care needs Perform bedside wound care skills including: wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in UWH’s own wound care EMR Develop a treatment plan for skin and wound conditions based on the individual needs of each patient, and UWH’s Clinical Practice Guidelines Collaborate virtually with our medical leadership including board certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease

    Skills required for winning:

    This fast-paced position requires standing for extended amounts of time Driving! You must have reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and current auto insurance Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license 1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines

    Compensation Range: $124,000.00 - $146,500.00 DOE with bonus potential

    This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt; Full-Time or Part-Time employment

    Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday; 6:00am – 3:00pm, no nights, weekends, or call

You must have reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and current auto insurance Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license 1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines

    Compensation Range: $119,000.00 - $132,000.00 DOE with bonus potential (1.0FTE range)
