WAREHOUSE UTILITY WORKER Warehouse Utility Worker is a key member of the Shipping/Receiving team. They will learn each of the other positions over time to handle peak demand and also provide the versatility needed to keep the department running efficiently. This position involves both computer and hands-on activities to assist with preparing, moving, and loading finished products, while also maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities * Pack/palletize/wrap products for safe shipment. * Label packages with shipping information and secure items on pallets. * Load and unload trucks using manual or powered equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. * Assist in staging orders, pulling products from inventory, and organizing the shipping area. * Perform basic receiving tasks, such as unloading incoming materials and stocking shelves. * Maintain cleanliness in the shipping/receiving area, including sweeping, trash removal, and general housekeeping. * Support inventory tasks like basic counting, reorganizing stock, or assisting with cycle counts. * Follow safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Perform other general labor duties as assigned, such as minor assembly support or helping in production during downtime. Required Skills and Qualifications * High school diploma or GED preferred but not always required. * Warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. * Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, and reach. * Basic ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment. * Willing and able to pass the forklift certification we provide. * Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced setting. * Knowledge of basic safety practices; attention to detail for accurate packing. Clamps work piece in fixture or onto an arbor. /li li Installs preset tooling in tool posts, turrets or indexing heads, and automatic-tool-change magazine, in sequence specified on process sheet. /li li Depresses buttons, toggles, and starts machining operation. /li li Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts. /li li Turns dials and switches to correct machine performance, applying practical knowledge of general machine operation. /li li Inspects first-run piece and spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications, using specified measuring instruments. /li li Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run to shorten changeover time. /li li May set tools before positioning them in machine, using precision gauges and instruments. /li li Monitors tools during the production process. /li li Verifies conformance of machined gears to specifications, using micrometers, height stand, caliper, and other quality gauges as required. /li li Compute and make offsets, such as gear dimensions and machine settings, applying knowledge of shop mathematics. /li li May set up and operate another machine tool during machining cycles. /li li Documents measurement results as required by Quality Documents /li li Performs SPC as required. /li li Completes quality and safety daily operator check sheets /li li Perform preventive maintenance on machine and maintain cleanliness of work area. /li li Completes “Daily Operator Checklist” at the beginning of each shift /li li Additional duties as assigned /li /ul p b TECHNICAL SKILLS /b /p p Computer literate with the ability to learn and work statistical and manufacturing Software applications. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient order fulfillment, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and lead a team to meet productivity and accuracy goals in a fast-paced environment. p /p p b Key Responsibilities /b /p li Coordinate warehouse staff activities, including training new hires, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. /li li Oversee shipping and receiving processes: packing orders, preparing shipping documents, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments. /li li Learn and be a redundant/backup resource for shipping and receiving processes. /li li Inventory control: conduct cycle counts, track stock levels, and resolve discrepancies. /li li Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized warehouse, and promote a safe working environment. /li li Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, customer service) to meet shipping deadlines and resolve issues. /li li Lead team meetings, provide feedback, and drive process improvements for efficiency. /li li Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling tools as needed. /li li Handle administrative tasks like preparing reports on shipments, inventory, and team productivity. /li p b Qualifications and Requirements /b /p li High school diploma or equivalent required.
