Software Engineering Leader – Material Handling or WMS Systems
Responsibilities
Lead-Improve-Oversee and optimize the entire SDLC process:Requirements gatheringSoftware architecture and designDevelopment, build, and testingImplementation, UAT, and user trainingDocumentation and knowledge transferAct as a functional executive across cross-disciplinary teams (engineering, operations, automation, IT)Drive project management excellence across multiple concurrent initiativesConduct code reviews and guide architectural decisions, especially within the .NET C# Azure stackCollaborate with automation and controls teams to align software with PLC-driven systemsEstablish and maintain COE-style ('center of excellence') best practices, governance, and continuous improvement frameworksMentor engineering teams and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical rigorDesired Skills/Experience
Proven success leading Material Handling, PLC driven Electro-Mechanical Applications, Robotics or similar software initiatives in material handling, automation, or supply chain environmentsStrong SDLC ownership with a track record of fixing, streamlining, and documenting complex systemsDeep experience in project management, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional leadershipHands-on technical background with ability to assess software architecture and conduct code reviewsExpertise in .NET (C#), Azure cloud services, and enterprise-grade application developmentFamiliarity with PLC automation systems and integration with software applicationsExperience in COE or corporate environments with structured governance and delivery modelsPluses:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldPMP, Agile/Scrum or other relevant process-task-project-SDLC certificationsExperience with Software for high-throughput, automated or manufacturing environmentsExperience working for a Software Firm or an Electro-Mechanical Automations Systems OEM Type firm with a heavy software element.Excellent Compensation Package, Call or Apply Today!
