    Job Summary:  
    The Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the Employee Shuttle Busses.

    Job Duties:   
    Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on vehicles and shuttle busses. 
    Performs minor/major repair of vehicles and shuttle buses such as starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel/gas engines, etc. 
    Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing vehicle into service bay. 
    Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts, proper fluid levels, general wear and safety items. 
    Troubleshoot problems with vehicles and buses. Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any "open" work orders. 
    Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition. 
    Orders parts, stock parts and maintains inventory with accurate record keeping. 
    Performs all other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position. 
     
    Qualifications:   
    Highly skilled and experienced: Can diagnose and repair complex issues independently. 
    Proficient in all areas: May be proficient in all areas of automotive repair, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.  
    Leadership potential: May be able to lead and mentor other mechanics.  
    Keeps up with advanced training: Stays current with the latest technologies and repair techniques,  
    Possess a valid Driving License. 
    Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements. 
    High School diploma, GED or equivalent education. 
    Must be at least 18 years of age 
     
    Preferred Qualifications:   
    Possess a Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement or willing to obtain. 
    two+ years of relevant experience in vehicle or bus maintenance. Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team. 
    ASE Certification (Society of Automotive Engineers), CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) or licenses in one or more of the following disciplines is required: 
    Refrigeration license/Air conditioning experience 
    Electrical system and computer diagnostics 
    Fleet Maintenance experience following DOT Standards. 
    Physical requirements:   
    Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend. 
     
    Working conditions:   
    Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.

    The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Technician (GSE Technician) is an advanced level maintenance position responsible for independently performing complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics, and the capability to resolve high-impact equipment issues with minimal supervision.

    Job Duties:   
    Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems across all GSE types. 
    Complete complex repairs including engine work, hydraulic system rebuilds, electrical harness repairs, brake system overhauls, and major component replacements. 
    Interpret and apply OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts. 
    Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on repeat or high impact failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability. 
    Mentor and support Technician I and II employees by demonstrating proper repair techniques, safety practices, and documentation standards. 
    Perform advanced electrical testing including voltage drop analysis, continuity testing, load testing, and charging system diagnostics. 
    Conduct advanced hydraulic diagnostics including pressure testing, valve troubleshooting, and cylinder performance evaluation. 
    Document all work performed using the company’s CMMS (AssetWorks) following CCC standards and reliability focused documentation practices. 
    Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications, safety requirements, Unifi, EPA and OSHA regulatory standards. 
    Assist with parts identification, inventory control, and verification of correct components for complex repairs. 
    Communicate effectively with Leads, Management, and Operations regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and reliability concerns.

    Strong proficiency with diagnostic tools including multi-meters, scan tools, pressure gauges, and electrical testing equipment.

    Ability to mentor and support less experienced technicians. 
    Excellent communication and documentation skills.
