In this position you will be responsible to diagnose, and repair diversified electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems in a manner that provides ongoing service for production machinery and plant facilities to avoid prolonged shutdown of production.

Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to become part of our team at Ulbrich Precision Alloys located in New Bedford, MA. Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians are part of a highly skilled team that is critical to ensuring equipment and systems are fully operational for continuous production and to consistently meet production goals.
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, pumps, cranes, and mobile equipment.
In order to become successful, you’ll have to quickly learn Ulbrich Precision Alloys, our manufacturing equipment/systems, and our maintenance program. A successful Electrical Maintenance Technician is a problem-solver and is strong with troubleshooting and determining corrective action, installing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment is operating in a safe manner.Perform preventative, predictive and emergency electrical maintenance on a variety of electrical and electronic systems.Implement process improvements and methods that will increase effectiveness and efficiencies.Use of standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues.Interpret electrical schematics, understanding technical manuals, and following written instructions.Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, start up and installation.Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work.Operate fork lift trucks, man lifts, and cranes.As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be required to work in a variety of plant areas, departments and environmental conditions, and perform work at various heights and within some confined spaces. Based on the need, overtime may be available including other shifts and weekends. As part of pre-employment, an electrical maintenance skills assessment will be conducted.
