Your Role on the Team The position of Nurse Practitioner II in the Department of Neurology, requires a Scope highly competent, independent yet team-oriented individual who will be immersed in Neurology's Cerebrovascular and Neuro-Hospitalist Division. In addition, the APP will also work with the family of the patient to ensure that aftercare will be appropriate. The location will be for Irvine Hospital site. This position may perform: Functions as appropriate to their "scope of practice" (In general, the "scope of practice" includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures per their approved standardized procedure). Familiarity with state statute for their licenses is necessary. Approved privileges are unique to each person and are unlikely to include ALL privileges The NP professional may provide patient care in age groups based on educational preparation and at all Health licensed settings and affiliates. The incumbent performs assigned nursing procedures, taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens for analysis, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments. Incumbent observes, records and reports the physical and mental condition of patients.
