    General Description

    This is job is at a Depot Level repair facility maintenance on types of aircraft, which include, but not limited to AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8. F-35 and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.

    Duties

    Perform a full range of aircraft sheet metal duties including, but not limited to, disassemble, modify, repair, and reassemble complex aircraft metal items and systems, e.g., bulkheads, airframes, spars, air scoops, wings, flaps, pylons, sponsons, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets and fuel tanks. These items and systems have combined straight and curved edges and irregular curves and planesAnalyze and evaluate structural damage to metal systems and items; develop patterns using a combination of parallel and radial line development; fabricate, install, and repair a variety of items and systems made from a wide variety of metals, e.g., stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb, alloys, aluminum; replace sections and patch old systems; cut, bend, shape, and form metals for items that have numerous irregular angles, planes, and curves with varying pitch and circumference; use a variety of assembly joints, complex fastening systems, riveted or welded joints, drill or punch holes; and assemble or repair items by seaming, bolting, screwing, riveting, tacking. Assembly methods shall meet appearance and strength standards, as well as critical tolerances. As a condition of employment Contractor personnel will be required to pass a FRCW administered certification skills examinationUse precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, snap ring, height, depth, dial and screw pitch gauges, squares, rulers, trammel points, and sine barsOther duties as assigned

    Education/Experience Requirements

    High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 4 years Sheetmetal Mechanic (Aircraft Mechanic II) experienceA&P license not required but a plusPrefer experience from military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure backgroundExperience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviationMust be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain and/or maintain a secret clearance

    Functional Requirements:

    Must be able to walk, stand, crawl, kneel and bend on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, pull over hand, push, reach or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.May be required to lift up to 44 pounds and heavy, moderate carrying up to 44 pounds.May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales with or without corrective lens.Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.Must be able to distinguish color, shades of color and judge three-dimensional depth.May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, crane, truck, tractor, etc.

    Environmental Factors:

    Work in an inside/outside environment to include working around machinery, objects, vehicles, ladders, and scaffolds.Excessive noise and vibration that can be intermittent or constant.Environmental conditions can included but not limited to dust, silica, asbestos, fumes, smoke, gas, solvents such as degreasing agents, grease, oils, and electrical energyWorking on slippery or uneven surfacesWorking closely with others or working alonePossible protracted or irregular hours of work as needed or required.

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The Senior Program Manager (PgM) is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that each project produces the required deliverables within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the Statement of Work. The Senior PgM is the Tyonek representative to the US Government customer. The PgM will have the overall responsibility to ensure each project supporting the customer has the requisite resources that are qualified and certified to satisfy customer requirements. This includes management of issues, risks, and change requests to ensure successful and on-time CDRL delivery. Contributes to corporate and program process improvement initiatives. Leads a diverse team of employees and works to develop the next generation of Tyonek employees. This position will be responsible for the development of business opportunities and proposal preparation. May require up to 30% travel including OCONUS. This position will be located in Patuxent River, MD.

    DUTIES

    Works with assigned Project Managers to monitor and control cost, schedule and technical performance of projectsCoordinates with the functional departments to meet requirements of the contract and statement of workCommunicates with customers on schedules, meetings, risks and issues.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    At least 1 of the below requirements must be met to be considered for this role:Military background in flight test operations or maintenance, with specialization in Naval Aviation or Test Pilot duties.Experience as a flight test pilot with qualifications from recognized institutions such as the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School or the Air Force Test Pilot School and membership in organizations such as the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP).Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related area, from an accredited college or university is required.
