    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance SupervisorPosition Summary:The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 20 Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians across three shifts. This role ensures efficient scheduling, coordination, and execution of maintenance tasks to support operational reliability and safety.Key Responsibilities:Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance technicians across multiple shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life using maintenance management software.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely and safe manner.Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety personnel to prioritize maintenance efforts in alignment with plant objectives.Provide hands-on technical support and guidance for complex maintenance activities.Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, standards, and training initiatives.Plan, direct, and assign work orders; manage overtime as necessary.Train, coach, and mentor team members in line with established maintenance development programs.Required Skills and Competencies:Safety Awareness: Ability to identify hazards and enforce safety practices.Analytical Thinking: Proficient in interpreting data and applying logic to solve problems.Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of industrial systems and equipment.Problem Solving: Capable of generating effective solutions to complex issues.Communication: Able to convey technical information clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Interpersonal Skills: Professional approach to conflict resolution and team engagement; open to feedback and collaborative input.Project Management: Skilled in organizing, planning, and executing multiple tasks or projects concurrently.Data Management: Competence in using data analysis tools and interpreting maintenance metrics.Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to improving equipment reliability and maintenance processes.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical systems preferred.Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Experience in heavy manufacturing environments such as steel, metals, or related industries is preferred.Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, PLCs, and welding/fabrication techniques.
