Responsibilities:
Contributes to the identification of nursing diagnosis, interventions, and expected outcomes specific to patients with enteral feeding devices.Assesses the response of patients with enteral feeding devices, interventions, or treatment modalities; makes decisions about procedural or equipment modifications; makes recommendations for changes in care or procedural changes; negotiates systems to implement change.The RN/LPN demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration.The RN/LPN plans for and provides resident and family education.Maintains a safe environment for patients.The RN/LPN collaborates with others to integrate assessment and input of the patient, family and the interdisciplinary team.Provides and documents direct nursing care in the electronic health record.Assists with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding through the G-tube.Performs skilled nursing procedures such as g-tube dressing, feeding tube, medication administration, maintaining central lines dressing clean and connecting TPN to the infusion pump.Qualifications:
Must hold current state licensure as a RN/LPN in good standingPossess organization skills required to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident careHave excellent communication skillsBe able to read, write, and communicate in EnglishMust be able to monitor vital signs, observing signs of infection such as elevated temperature.Maintain accurate infusion rate with infusion pumps.Benefits Statement: Benefits package is available to eligible team members designed to meet the needs of every stage of life.
