The Opportunity
We are hiring a Post-Closing Specialist to support post-purchase operations including collateral review, trailing document management, investor delivery support, and loan transfer coordination. This role is ideal for someone with strong mortgage operations experience who understands the life of a loan after funding and enjoys working in a detail-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review closed loan files for completeness and accuracyManage trailing document collection and resolution (typically within 60–90 day delivery windows)Support collateral review and investor delivery processesAssist with assignments and loan transfers to investorsCoordinate servicing transfers and borrower transition supportResolve post-purchase conditions and document deficienciesTrack and clear investor suspense itemsAssist with title reconciliation or document corrections when requiredMaintain accurate post-closing tracking logs and reportingPartner with funding, capital markets, and servicing teams to ensure clean loan delivery
Qualifications
4+ years mortgage industry experience preferred2+ years in post-closing, shipping, servicing, or secondary operations preferredExperience with loan transfers or investor delivery processes preferredUnderstanding of assignments, collateral files, and trailing documentsExperience supporting servicing transfers is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational disciplineAbility to manage multiple files and deadlinesStrong communication and follow-through skillsExperience with credit unions or business-purpose lending is a plus
