In-Home Caregiver
True North Home Care
Locations: Omaha, Fremont, Lincoln, and Rural Nebraska
Position Summary:
True North Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced In-Home Caregivers to provide high-quality support for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and clients requiring assistance with daily living. As a caregiver, you will play an essential role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life by delivering personalized care in the comfort of their homes.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate personal care tailored to each client's individual needs.Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.Support client mobility, transfers, and physical movement while ensuring safety.Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management as directed.Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed.Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.Monitor clients' health, safety, and overall well-being, reporting any changes promptly.Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with clients, family members, and the care team.Accurately document care provided, observations, and client progress in accordance with company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of professional in-home caregiving experience.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or clients requiring personal care.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional demeanor.Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and daily activities.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (preferred if travel between client homes is required).Ability to pass required background checks and meet state employment requirements.
