Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, a global supplier and manufacturer of construction equipment and tools, is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Harrison, OH.
1st Shift- 6:30am to 3pm
Pay rate- $25 per hour
This is a contract position with opportunity to go permanent based on availability and performance.
SUMMARYSeeking a self-starter that displays a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.Responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.Complies with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines. Ensure work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.Uphold productivity, quality, and safety standards. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ welding and fabrication experience. Must be highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes. Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment. Shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes. Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred. Capable of working at a fast pace.Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)Capable of multi-tasking and able to change direction or focus as priorities dictate.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.
Travel/Other Requirements: Availability as requested/required for after-hour emergency calls, necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
