Role: Information Systems Project Manager Location: Martinez, CA (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ months Contract to Hire Overview: Under general direction, the Information Systems Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing the development and implementation of large, complex computer systems projects. This role supervises programming and systems support resources, leads systems analysis and development activities, ensures compliance with IT standards, and oversees the delivery of projects that have significant organizational impact. Core Skills: Enterprise System Implementation: Proven experience leading the end-to-end implementation of large, complex systems (like ERP, Cost Accounting, ITSM, or credentialing software). Project Management Mastery: Expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks. Stakeholder prepare recommendations and evaluations for management review. Oversee design, configuration, testing, and deployment of enterprise-level systems and applications. Lead troubleshooting efforts for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution. Manage high-risk, high-impact, strategic projects across cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams. Partner with user departments to analyze operational and regulatory requirements, determine system capabilities, and define specifications. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers for project execution and delivery. Develop and enforce standards for data management, integrity, security, and recovery within assigned projects. Direct and coordinate end-user training and support to ensure system adoption and compliance. Provide leadership in the evaluation and selection of contract firms; assist in the contracting process. Communicate project vision, objectives, scope, outcomes, timelines, and resource requirements to leadership and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Communication, Information Processing, or a closely related field. Experience: Four (4) years of full-time experience managing complex information systems projects. At least three (3) years of project management responsibility for large application systems, including team leadership experience. Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, up to two (2) years.
