Job Summary and Qualifications
The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
What you will do in this role:
You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards. You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service. You will promote customer service initiatives. You are given the opportunity to utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients. In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.What qualifications you will need:
Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing Current BLS certification Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hireTriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility. We are Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, TriStar Skyline is a leading provider of emergency heart care.
