    Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse


    The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.


    Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizingan interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.



    When acting in chargenurse role, registered nurses are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity and the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.



    What you will do in this role:


    As Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures as well as care for patients having specialized radiology procedures. This includes both the prep and recovery of these patients.




    You are responsible for specialized cardiac tests performed on adult as well as pediatric patients.


    You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.


    You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.


    You will record patients' medical information and vital signs and any other patient care.


    You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.


    You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.



    What qualifications you will need:




    A graduate of an accredited school of nursing


    Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee


    Additional courses in physiology and hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation.


    At least Two (2) years' experience as a Critical Care staff nurse.


    Experience in intensive care nursing (ICU/ER)


    Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification


    Communicates and works effectively with people.

    Rapid Response Nurse

    Under Tennessee Board of Nursing scope of practice the Registered Nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and critical judgment in providing a wide variety of services within a critical care environment. The purpose of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) is to provide assessment, early intervention and stabilization for patients and to prevent clinical deterioration or arrest. Additionally, the RRT will provide teaching, mentoring, and support to our nursing units.

This includes both the prep and recovery of these patients.




    You are responsible for specialized cardiac tests performed on adult as well as pediatric patients.


    You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.


    You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.


    You will record patients' medical information and vital signs and any other patient care.


    You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.


    You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.



    What qualifications you will need:




    A graduate of an accredited school of nursing


    Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee


    Additional courses in physiology and hemodynamic monitoring and EKG interpretation.


    At least Two (2) years' experience as a Critical Care staff nurse.


    Experience in intensive care nursing (ICU/ER)


    Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
