As a Welder on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm) at our East Chicago location, you’ll play a vital role in creating and refining high-quality steel pipe products for industries across the nation.     Welder Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing tasks in accordance with detailed specifications, blueprints, and drawings.

    Use submerged arc welding (SAW) techniques to repair and strengthen weld seams on large steel plates specifically using dual shield (flux-core wire with a shielding gas out of a MIG gun)

    Set up and fine-tune welding fixtures and parameters, including amps, volts, and positioning for optimal welds.

    Execute grinding and finishing operations using manual and power tools for a clean, polished result.

    Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and effective performance.

    Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify work.

    Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

    Utilize mobile apps and digital tools to manage job orders and track progress.

    Operate overhead cranes to safely move heavy materials.

    Operate forklift to safely move steel plate materials.

    Contribute to a high-performance team by completing other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

    Requirements:

    Steel-toe boots, sleeved shirts, and a welding hood are required—your personal gear shows you're ready to get the job done right!We’ve got you covered with the rest: Trinity provides all essential PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and protective gloves.Prove your skills – Successful completion of an internal weld test is required to join our team.A minimum of one year of MIG welding experience - bring your hands-on know-how to the table!Experience operating an overhead crane (75-ton, 50-ton and 10-ton).Experience operating a forklift.Comfortable working in varied ambient temperatures—you’re not afraid to tackle real-world conditions.Able to stand, move, and stay active throughout your shift—this is a hands-on, on-your-feet kind of role.We're counting on you! — punctuality and dependability matter in a fast-paced production environment.

We’re looking for a motivated and safety-driven Overhead Crane Operator to join our team in East Chicago, IN and play a vital role in the production of high-quality steel pipe. If you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and want to be part of a company that builds big things, this is the job for you! This is a 2nd Shift position (Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operate a 30-ton, 20-ton and 15-ton overhead bridge crane to move, lift, and precisely position heavy loads like steel plate, pipe and coil.Use a variety of hoisting attachments: hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets — depending on the job.Respond to verbal, written, or signal instructions to maneuver loads safely and efficiently.Perform daily inspections of cranes and lifting devices (chains, hooks, slings, wire rope, etc.) to ensure safety and operational readiness.Complete daily shift reports and communicate equipment concerns with your supervisor.Assist with crane maintenance and submit maintenance work orders as needed.Use cutting torches and plasma cutters to assist in the pipe manufacturing process.Perform visual inspections when receiving new materials into the warehouse.Maintain a clean, safe work area — housekeeping matters!Take on additional tasks to assist team members and management as needed — no two days are the same!

    Job Requirements:

    Experience operating overhead or stationary cranes, preferably 30-ton capacity.Familiarity with mobile or heavy equipment such as forklifts, a plus!Ability to operate and maintain hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.Comfortable using cutting torches, plasma cutters and various hand tools.Ability to use a tape measure effectively.Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform visual inspections and document material characteristics.Clear communication skills and the ability to follow verbal, written, or signal-based instructions.

As a Burn Table Operator, you'll operate advance machinery to cut steel plates according to detailed specifications. You’ll determine cutting sequences, select tooling, and ensure every part meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and safety.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Select and design appropriate cutting tools as needed for each job.Test program to ensure machining operations comply with print and specifications.Ensure proper CNC program details are set-up for operator to run the assigned work order.Interpret blueprints, drawings, and cut sheets to ensure accurate material cutting.Maintain high standards of quality control and visual inspection during and after cutting.Keep your work area organized and clean, contributing to a safe, productive workspace.Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by your supervisor.

    Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.2–3 years of experience operating CNC machinery, with Oxy, Plasma or Laser experience preferred.Overhead crane/forklift experience preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.Excellent attention to detail—you take pride in precision.Ability to read tape measurements down to 1/16th - high importance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, safety rules, and production schedules.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new or changing variables.Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods, and regularly lifting 25–50 lbs.Capable of kneeling, bending, and operating hand and power tools throughout the shift.A strong team player who communicates clearly and works well across departments.Previous experience in heavy industry or structural steel fabrication is a plus.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Utilize plasma torches and cutters to make cuts to steel pipe.Keep the flow of steel materials moving at a steady rate by multi-tasking and having a strong attention to detail.Utilize various hand tools and equipment. Utilize mobile device applications and programs.Utilize a tape measure to ensure cuts are accurate. Perform various mathematical calculations.

    Requirements:

    Steel toe boots and sleeved shirts are required and the employee’s responsibility. As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to evaluate welds, base material, and finished products in accordance with customer requirements, industry codes, and company procedures. This is 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm) position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    NDT Inspections

    Perform visual inspection (VT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) in accordance with approved procedures.Ensure all inspections are executed in compliance with SNT-TC-1A, ASME, AWS, and company NDT written practice.Conduct receiving, in-process, final, and outbound inspections.Maintain calibration of NDT equipment and verify condition before use.

    Interpretation & Reporting

    Interpret test results accurately and provide clear acceptance/rejection decisions per applicable standards.Document all findings through inspection reports, daily handoffs, and nonconformance reports (NCRs).Communicate inspection results to the QC Supervisor, production, and QA.

    Compliance & Safety

    Ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, API, AISC, ISO).Support compliance with customer specifications and quality plans.Follow safety protocols when working with chemicals, or heavy manufacturing equipment.

    Support of Quality Department

    Assist/Witness in welder performance qualification and procedure qualification record (PQR) testing.Provide input to corrective and preventive action (CAPA) investigations.Participate in audits and customer visits as required.

    Requirements:

    Education: High school diploma or technical degree

    Experience: 2+ years of hands-on NDT experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or welding industries.

    Certifications (preferred/not required):

    Level II certification per SNT-TC-1A (2020 or later) in one or more methods (VT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT).AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

    Skills:

    Strong technical knowledge of NDT techniques and applications.Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and industry codes.Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.Effective communication skills for coordination with QC, QA, and production teams.Ability to work safely in shop and field environments.
