What You Will Be Doing
Developing and training Guides to deliver Alpha’s workshops with exceptional skillCrafting Guide Playbooks with best practices for facilitation, creating engaging learning activities, and overcoming challengesOffering regular, actionable feedback to Guides to boost student engagement and achievementMentoring a select group of students, demonstrating top-tier coaching and motivational techniques
What You Won’t Be Doing
Creating lesson plans – your Guides use adaptive apps to facilitate learning; your mission is to train them to be outstanding motivatorsCompromising standards – with a passing grade of 100%, maintaining high standards is your responsibilityConducting dull training sessions – you'll guide Guides through dynamic, high-energy, hands-on development
Principal Learning Consulting Key Responsibilities
Guide both Guides and students in your group to ensure every learner enjoys school, learns at twice the speed, and masters essential life skills. No exceptions.
Basic Requirements
Reside in or be willing to relocate to one of these campuses: Sacramento, CA; Orange County, CA; San Francisco, CA; Washington, D.C.; or Raleigh, NCBachelor's degree in any disciplineMinimum of 5 years experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a related fieldProven track record in developing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training initiativesStrong leadership and mentorship abilities, capable of building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teamsExperience working with youth (ages 5-18) in an educational or developmental roleProficient in data analysis and leveraging metrics for decision-making and ongoing improvementAuthorized to work in the United States
