    Compounding Pharmacist

    Triangle Compounding Pharmacy  |  Cary, NC  |  Full-Time  |  On-Site  |  Monday–Friday + One Half-Saturday/Month

Are you a pharmacist who wants to do more than dispense?

Most pharmacy roles keep you behind a counter. This one puts you at the center of patient care — working directly with prescribers to design therapies that don't exist anywhere else.

At Triangle Compounding Pharmacy, we build custom medications for patients whose needs can't be met by commercial products. We were the first PCAB-accredited compounding pharmacy in North Carolina and the state's first FDA-registered 503B Human Drug Outsourcing Facility. Our standards are high because our patients depend on them — and our pharmacists take pride in that.

If you're clinically curious, detail-oriented, and ready to practice pharmacy at a deeper level, we want to meet you.

    What You'll Do

    ●        Collaborate with prescribers to develop and refine personalized formulations for individual patients

    ●        Review prescriptions for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and potential drug interactions

    ●        Prepare and verify sterile and non-sterile compounds in accordance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards

    ●        Evaluate formulation stability, compatibility, and dosage-form selection

    ●        Counsel patients on dosing, side effects, storage, and drug interactions

    ●        Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians in compounding procedures

    ●        Manage pharmaceutical and chemical inventory and ensure regulatory compliance

    ●        Maintain accurate records across all compounding activities

    What We're Looking For

    Required

    ●        Active NC pharmacist license in good standing

    ●        Strong pharmaceutical calculation skills (capsules, creams, suppositories, injectables)

    ●        Working knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>

    ●        Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

    ●        Strong patient communication and customer service skills

Nice to Have — not required

    ●        Prior compounding experience — we will train the right candidate

    ●        Experience in hospital, home infusion, specialty, or clinically focused pharmacy

    ●        Familiarity with sterile compounding, cGMP, or FDA-regulated environments

    ●        Experience with BHRT or veterinary compounding

    ●        Proficiency with PK Software or comparable platforms

    ●        Additional state pharmacist licenses

    What We Offer

    ●        Competitive salary commensurate with experience

    ●        Health insurance — 100% employer-covered for the employee

    ●        Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance

    ●        401(k) with employer match

    ●        Paid Time Off and paid holidays

    ●        Employee discount

    ●        Continuing education and professional development

    ●        Hands-on training in sterile compounding, formulation development, and 503B outsourcing operations

    ●        Predictable Monday–Friday schedule — one half-Saturday per month, no nights, no rotating shifts

    Company DescriptionAbout Triangle Compounding Pharmacy
Triangle Compounding Pharmacy (TCP) is an independently owned, 503A-licensed compounding pharmacy serving patients and prescribers across North Carolina and beyond. Triangle Compounding Pharmacy was the first PCAB-accredited pharmacy in North Carolina and the first 503B FDA-registered outsourcing facility. We specialize in personalized, non-sterile compounded medications — including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, pain management, dermatology, men's health, pediatric formulations, and an expanding longevity product portfolio that includes NAD+ therapy, oral peptide protocols, and custom ED formulations.
We are in an exciting period of strategic growth. The board has approved an ambitious expansion into the longevity pharmacy space, including new product categories, a new BD function, a clinic partnership program, and new oral solid dosage capabilities. As we scale, we need an experienced operational leader who can build the infrastructure, systems, and culture to support that growth — while solving the real operational challenges we face today.

We specialize in custom sterile and non-sterile compounding for patients whose needs simply aren't met by commercially available medications. Our work spans hormone therapy, pain management, weight loss, veterinary care, pediatric formulations, and more — each prescription made specifically for the individual patient, not the average.

With ISO-certified clean rooms, rigorous quality standards, and a pharmacist-led team that has earned the trust of providers and patients across multiple states, Triangle Compounding is where precision and personalized care come together. If you're looking to bring your skills somewhere that genuinely raises the bar — and where the work you do matters — you've found the right place.Company DescriptionAbout Triangle Compounding Pharmacy\r\nTriangle Compounding Pharmacy (TCP) is an independently owned, 503A-licensed compounding pharmacy serving patients and prescribers across North Carolina and beyond. Pharmacy Clerk | Triangle Compounding Pharmacy Cary, NC | Full-Time | On-Site | $16–$18/hr

Your work will actually matter here.

At Triangle Compounding Pharmacy, we don't fill prescriptions off a shelf. We make them — custom, from scratch, for real patients who depend on us when standard medications just don't work. That means the person you hand a bag to at the counter may have been searching for a solution for months. What you do here makes a difference in someone's day, someone's health, and sometimes someone's life.

We've been doing this in the Research Triangle for over 25 years. We were the first PCAB-accredited compounding pharmacy in North Carolina — and we've never stopped raising the bar.

    Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a warm, reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to be the first face our patients see and the friendly voice they hear on the phone. You don't need a pharmacy background — you need great people skills, a genuine desire to help, and the kind of steady, attentive nature that makes patients feel taken care of.

If you thrive in a close-knit team where collaboration is real and your contributions are noticed, and you want a job with real purpose behind it, this might be exactly what you've been looking for.

    What Your Day Looks Like

    ● Welcome patients and assist them with prescription pickups and medication questions

    ● Provide warm, responsive customer support by phone, text, and in person

    ● Prepare and organize medications for pickup and shipment

    ● Support the pharmacy team with day-to-day front-of-house operations

    ● Handle shipping and receiving as needed

    What We Offer

    ● $16–$18/hr based on experience

    ● Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance (one medical plan fully covered by employer), and 401(k) with match

    ● Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm — no nights, 1 Saturday/month

    ● Paid holidays

    ● A supportive, tight-knit workplace where people genuinely look out for one another

    ● The chance to grow your knowledge in a specialized, fascinating field of healthcare

    What You Bring

    ● High school diploma or equivalent

    ● Strong communication skills and a naturally warm, patient-facing personality

    ● Sharp attention to detail and solid follow-through

    ● Typing speed of 40+ WPM

    ● Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

    ● Experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service setting is a plus

    ● Valid driver's license

    ● Must pass a background check and drug screening

Ready to join a team where your work has real meaning? Apply with a cover letter and your resume — we'd love to meet you.
