In this role, the School Bus Safety Trainer will perform classroom and behind the wheel training, to include but not limited to the Professional Operator Development Program, remedial training, new equipment familiarization training, and safety meetings. Key Responsibilities: Ensure trainees are thoroughly trained in the safe and efficient handling of vehicles and equipment to exceed customer standards. Ensure that all trainees receive route training. Monitor the progress of trainees to ensure proper training. Ensures all employee training records are in compliance with training policies. Assist DriveCam Manager and Coordinator by coaching drivers in response to video recorded unsafe driving events to improve safety of operations. Responsible for the direct supervision of students. Ensure the Driver Training Course (DTC) is followed and properly delivered to include updates when necessary. Perform new equipment familiarization, refresher, and remediation training. Acts as a resource to provide employees with expert information on operation of equipment. Assist with ride checks, as needed. Recommend safer methods, procedures, and preventative measures. May be required to drive a school bus on an as needed emergency basis. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, (G.E.D.). College degree preferred. Must have a valid Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. Must have a valid Massachusetts School Bus Certificate. Must have a valid Massachusetts School Bus Instructor Certificate. An excellent motor vehicle record must be maintained. Two (2) or more years of transit related experience and/or training. School Bus Driver training experience preferred. Adult instruction experience preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to write simple correspondence as well as reports. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to customers, the client, and other employees of the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams and other software programs necessary to execute work assignments. Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations; ability to update employee safety and training records. Detail oriented, well organized, and possess effective time management skills. Must have proven customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers on all levels. Experience supervising schedulers, dispatchers, and drivers. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time effectively. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and paratransit routing/scheduling software. General Manager

The General Manager will proactively manage overall operations, including the delivery of safe and reliable service, employee oversight, management of contract assets, risk management, client and customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position is based in Oakland, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

Continuously builds relationships with employees, the client, union partners, and the local community. The location/client contract sets the commercial and operational strategic direction for the business unit team. Leads the management team and employee workforce to achieve corporate/property safety goals, service performance, and financial objectives. Identifies, suggests, and develops business growth opportunities. Optimizes the return on assets deployed within the business to include vehicle scheduling, maintenance, and performance management. Identifies and analyzes KPIs to maintain positive results. Ensures services are provided within budget and action plans are developed and implemented to improve operational efficiency. Determines and delivers the business unit budget. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and compliance with Transdev corporate safety standards. Oversee all staff management and assign development training in liaison with the corporate team as appropriate. Ensures effective environmental compliance and sustainability management. Provides complete and accurate data collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Completion of a four (4) year college degree in a relevant field is desirable, although a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or related fiel,d or equivalent business experience preferred. At least 5 years of experience managing a fixed route or paratransit bus operation of similar size and scope. Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws. Thorough knowledge of transit system regulations and operations. Ability to build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients. Ability to manage cost control and financial budget. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding technology, apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportation technology. Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization. Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, with strong attention to detail. Ability to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
