    $18-$19/hr

    1st shift

    *MUST have a Valid DL

    *MUST have experience operating a sit-down forklift, Reach Truck and Cherry Picker

    *MUST be comfortable operating a forklift at high elevations

    Summary/Objective

    Warehousing Specialist will perform the selection (pulling) of material and the preparation of customer orders for delivery, specifically using the bar code scanner technology developed for the VMI Program. This position may report to either the Warehouse Manager.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    · Reads and interprets internal documents for the purpose of pulling products from inventory assigned to customer orders· Operates hand held bar code scanners as a primary function of order pulling and inventory control· Is licensed to operate various styles of forklifts as a key function of the position· Ensures materials pulled from inventory are accurate by comparing part numbers and quantities on containers to part numbers and quantities required on paper or electronically· Creates new customer orders while on site using manual order forms or laser scanning· Performs all tasks within safety standards established by company and their customers and in a manner consistent with company Core Values· Maintains safe, clean and orderly workspace to comply with all OSHA and company safety requirements; reports deficiencies to the Warehouse Manager

    Accountability and Performance Measures:

    · Pulling product for customer orders accurately and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction

    · Being responsive in communicating with company team members and customer personnel

    · Answering questions from other departments and/or interacting with customers courteously

    · Entering all data required in scanners to complete VMI processes per established procedures

    · Creating a safe, clean and orderly workplace to ensure compliance in areas of responsibility

    · Maximizing use of the P21 system


    Requirements:

    · HS Diploma or GED equivalent· 3-6 months of experience in area of responsibility and/or appropriate training· Good communication, interpersonal skills, and time management skills· Valid state driver’s license· Lift Truck Operations preferred: Sit-Down and Narrow Aisle Reach· Industrial, manufacturing or distribution experience is helpful, but not required Read Less

    The primary functions of the Operations Support Specialist will be to accurately ship to customers and receive products
