Job Summary: Day Shift
The imaging supervisor assists in overseeing the daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department, ensuring high quality patient care, efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and staff performance. This role supervises technologist and support staff while under the guidance and in accordance with the radiology director.
Functions and Duties:
· Supervises day-to-day operations of imaging services at all locations and modalities
· Ensures equipment is functioning properly and assists with coordinating maintenance/repairs
· Lead, train, and evaluate imaging technologist and support staff
· Create and manage staff schedules
· Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards (TJC and ACR)
· Maintain radiation safety protocols, quality assurance programs
· Assists in implementing policies and procedures according to best practice
· Promote excellent patient experience, handle patient complaints and resolve issues effectively
· Track quality measures for department
· Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and hospital leadership
· Coordinate with other departments for patient care continuity
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, Imaging services, or related field
Experience
· 3-5 years of clinical imaging experience
· 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
· AART certification
· Illinois state licensure
