Position Overview
As a Welder, you will work on large tanks in a production shop setting. You will weld using MIG and Stick processes and transition into submerged arc welding as needed. This role requires comfort working on large, heavy-duty components and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet safety and code requirements.
Starting pay: $25.60per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and Stick welding on tanks and large fabrications
• Train and perform Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
• Weld inside and outside of tanks according to approved welding procedures
• Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
• Prepare joints, grind, and clean weld areas as required
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance
• Maintain production and quality documentation
Qualifications
• Experience with MIG and Stick welding required
• Experience welding tanks, pressure vessels, or heavy structural components preferred
• Submerged arc welding experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and transportation to and from work
