What You'll Do
Lead day-to-day field operations for ground-up fuel station and convenience store projects from initial groundbreaking through final structural closeout.Direct and schedule all on-site subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain optimal production momentum and construction sequencing.Coordinate specialized petroleum construction scopes, including underground storage tanks (UST), fuel piping networks, structural canopies, dispenser islands, and electronic monitoring systems.Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment tracking, and daily work plans to consistently hit critical project milestone dates.Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, architects, and corporate client representatives to resolve field challenges and ensure full compliance with contract plans and specifications.Enforce a strict safety culture on-site, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company-wide safety policies.Monitor productivity and cost controls, accurately reporting daily progress and proactively flagging potential schedule impacts or scope changes to project management.Oversee successful project handoffs, including final municipal inspections, punch list execution, and certificate of occupancy procurement.What We're Looking For
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Lead Construction Superintendent focusing specifically on ground-up fuel/gas station and modern convenience store builds.Proven track record of successfully taking multiple ground-up petroleum/C-store projects from raw excavation through final turnover.Shell-branded project experience is highly preferred (experience with major corporate fuel brands is a strong plus).Strong technical fluency in civil site work, utilities, canopy structures, fuel system integration, and commercial retail building finishes.Exceptional field leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage large subcontractor teams and maintain positive schedule pressure.Solid familiarity with safety regulations, with OSHA 10 or 30-Hour certification highly preferred.100% willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeastern United States on a project-by-project basis.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Pay & Benefits
