Content Creator, Social Media & Brand Partnerships Specialist
About the Role
Were looking for a highly organized, creative, and hands-on Content Creator, Social Media & Brand Partnerships Specialist to lead original content creation for Toadfish while supporting our social media, creator, affiliate, Pro Program, and brand partnership efforts.
This role is responsible for concepting, shooting, filming, photographing, editing, and publishing content across paid social, organic social, product launches, website, email, and brand campaigns. The right person should know how to properly operate a camera for both photography and video, understand lighting, framing, focus, exposure, composition, and be able to turn raw footage into polished, platform-ready content.
Because Toadfish is rooted in fishing and life on the water, this person should be comfortable creating content outdoors in real-world settings, including boats, docks, beaches, marshes, and coastal environments. A strong working knowledge of fishing, fishing gear, outdoor lifestyle, and coastal culture is important for creating authentic content that connects with our audience.
In addition to creating content, this role will help grow Toadfishs social media presence and support relationships with creators, affiliates, ambassadors, and brand partners to drive brand awareness, engagement, follower growth, and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
Own the creation of original content for Toadfish across paid social, organic social, product launches, website, email, and brand campaigns.Concept, shoot, film, photograph, edit, and publish on-brand video and photo content for Meta, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other key platforms.Properly operate and use camera equipment for photography and video, including understanding camera settings, framing, lighting, focus, exposure, composition, and content capture best practices.Capture high-quality product photography, lifestyle photography, short-form video, fishing content, outdoor content, educational content, product demos, and behind-the-scenes content.Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media, paid ads, product launches, website, email, and brand campaigns.Turn raw footage into polished, platform-ready videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions, audio, transitions, product callouts, and clear storytelling.Create multiple video variations from a single shoot to support organic social, paid social, UGC-style ads, product pages, landing pages, email campaigns, and website needs.Create short-form video content designed to drive engagement, traffic, and revenue.Be comfortable on camera as a face of the brand when needed.Shoot content outdoors in real-life fishing, boating, coastal, dock, beach, marsh, and lifestyle environments.Bring a strong understanding of fishing, tackle, gear usage, and coastal outdoor culture to the content creation process.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content concepts, campaign ideas, hooks, scripts, shot lists, and creative direction.Test and iterate creative for paid social ads, organic content, and UGC-style assets.Repurpose high-performing content across ads, social, email, website, product pages, landing pages, and other marketing channels.
Creator, Affiliate & Pro Programs
Manage and grow ambassadors, influencers, affiliates, and Pro Program members.Review and onboard Pro applicants, including licensed captains, guides, and creator partners.Maintain accurate databases for contacts, segmentation, licenses, partner details, and program status.Serve as a primary point of contact for creators, affiliates, ambassadors, and Pro members.Track performance, deliverables, and ROI across all partners.Execute campaigns tied to product launches, seasonal initiatives, and marketing priorities.Manage affiliate operations through UpPromote, including referral tracking, commission payouts, reporting, W-9s, payment information, onboarding, and workflow improvements.Coordinate product seeding and sampling by creating Shopify sample orders and tracking product seeding performance.
Social Media Management
Manage and help grow Toadfishs social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other key platforms.Plan, schedule, and publish content in alignment with product launches, campaigns, seasonal priorities, and brand storytelling.Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, content formats, audio trends, creator strategies, and best practices.Identify opportunities to grow Toadfishs following across all major social platforms.Develop content ideas and posting strategies designed to maximize reach, engagement, follower growth, and community interaction.Monitor comments, messages, engagement, and community feedback across platforms.Track social media performance and use insights to improve future content.Test new content formats, hooks, posting cadences, and creative angles to improve engagement.Help turn social engagement into meaningful brand awareness, website traffic, creator relationships, and revenue.Ensure Toadfishs voice, visuals, and brand personality stay consistent across all social channels.
Partnerships & Social Commerce
Manage brand partnerships and creator collaborations.Coordinate deliverables, timelines, product needs, and payments.Identify and execute new partnership opportunities.Oversee TikTok Shop and social commerce efforts, including Shopify integrations and product compliance.Support creator-driven commerce initiatives that help drive awareness, engagement, and revenue.
Website & Content Support
Support website and content initiatives, including product descriptions, landing pages, website copy, and blog content.Help ensure brand messaging, product positioning, and content stay consistent across all marketing channels.Assist with product campaign copy, launch messaging, and supporting content needs.Help identify opportunities to improve website, product page, and landing page content through stronger visuals, videos, storytelling, and product education.
UGC, PR & Content Operations
Organize and manage UGC and content libraries for paid and organic use.Identify and surface high-performing content for marketing use.Support PR and media outreach, build relationships, and track performance.Help keep content organized, accessible, and ready for use across ads, social, email, website, and product pages.Maintain a usable library of raw footage, edited videos, product photos, lifestyle assets, creator content, and campaign materials.
Qualifications
25+ years of experience in content creation, social media, influencer marketing, partnerships, or community management.Proven experience creating high-performing social content, especially short-form video.Strong ability to concept, shoot, film, photograph, edit, and publish content independently.Strong understanding of how to properly operate and use a camera for photography and filming, including framing, lighting, focus, exposure, composition, and basic audio capture.Strong video editing skillset with the ability to edit engaging short-form and social-first video content independently.Experience using video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing platforms.Strong understanding of video pacing, hooks, captions, music, sound, transitions, storytelling, and platform-specific content formatting.Ability to take raw footage and turn it into polished, on-brand content for organic social, paid ads, product launches, website, email, and brand campaigns.Experience capturing product, lifestyle, outdoor, and action-based content in real-world environments.Experience managing and growing social media channels across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other major platforms.Strong understanding of social media trends, engagement strategies, platform best practices, and follower growth tactics.Comfortable shooting content outdoors and around the water, including fishing, boating, docks, beaches, marshes, and coastal environments.Strong working knowledge of fishing, fishing gear, outdoor lifestyle, and coastal culture.Comfortable being on camera and representing a brand when needed.Experience managing creators, affiliates, ambassador programs, or Pro-style communities.Strong organizational and operational skills.Familiarity with Shopify, affiliate platforms, TikTok Shop, and social commerce tools.Experience with copywriting, blog writing, or website content is a plus.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Passion for fishing, boating, outdoor gear, and the coastal lifestyle is strongly preferred.
