Position Overview
The School-based Therapist (SBT) will be responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated Howard County Public Schools with a strong emphasis on behavioral health promotion and prevention services. The SBT will provide a broad range of services, including school-wide supportive activities; treatment services both in-school and in-home family therapy; group prevention services and professional development training. The SBT is expected to work closely with staff to ensure the mental health needs of youth enrolled are identified and addressed in a competent manner both during the school-year as well as during summer break. The SBT will also collect data, maintain records, and support compliance in all facets of the Expanded School Mental Health Grant and MD State regulations.

Completion of treatment plans for assigned patients for both insurance and COMAR regulations.Responsible for supervisor signing off on chart documentation accordingly.Complete initial assessments on or before the fifth visit.Responsible for chart overflow and breakdown.
