Position Summary: The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and facilities located at several land port of entries in the North Dakota and Minnesota area. The ideal candidate must be able to pass a government background investigation and drug screening.
Role and Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely and effective resolutions.Conduct inspections and monthly preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and mitigate risks.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete projects efficiently.Provide emergency response and repairs as needed to minimize downtime and maintain operational integrity.Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.Assist in the implementation of maintenance schedules and proceduresMust be able to respond to a Priority 1 work order immediately, this includes weekends and holidays.
