Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Location: Boca Raton, FL Area Compensation: $80K-$115 Base Salary Year End Bonus(s) Health, Dental, Vision Insurance 401K + company match Direct Access to Project Manager and Director of Project Management, with room to grow into a Project Manager position Tiello has partnered with several premier General Contractors in South Florida on their search for Assistant Project Managers who has experience working/supporting a project management team on high-end hospitality, healthcare, and multifamily construction projects. An Assistant Project Manager (APM) in construction supports senior/project managers and superintendents in delivering high-end hospitality (restaurants, retail) projects on schedule and within budget. They handle the administrative and coordination backbone of a project, ensuring smooth communication, documentation, and compliance Projects: High-End Hospitality (Restaurants, Hotel, Retail), Multifamily/Assisted Living Centers, Healthcare Key Responsibilities: New project setup and coordination with field personnel to ensure alignment across all internal teams. Obtain permits and approvals, including visits to municipalities to expedite reviews and prevent delays. Assist the Project Manager in negotiating subcontractor scope and pricing and prepare subcontracts with required terms and conditions. Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors. Schedule and track delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure timely arrival. Create, interpret, and manage RFIs, submittals, and RFPs to ensure accurate and timely information flow. Manage all project documentation including schedules, logs, subcontracts, RFIs, shop drawings, permits, inspections, purchase orders, COIs, change orders, and plans. Manage the full change‑order workflow, including preparing and issuing CORs, tracking approved and pending changes, and monitoring their impact on the project budget. Organize and maintain project folders to ensure accurate, current, and accessible information at all times. Prepare weekly project reports and participate in internal and external coordination meetings. Oversee project closeout including as‑built drawings, punch lists, warranties, turnover documentation, subcontractor closeout requirements, and final billing documentation. Independently manage small projects of limited scope and complexity when assigned. Identify potential issues early and collaborate with the team to implement proactive solutions. Assist the management team as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 2 years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor, preferred. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and responsibility matrix. Strong communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach. Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus). Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and project scheduling software (ProCore experience preferred). Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Resourceful, driven, and self-motivated with the ability to identify issues and support resolution. Ability to support project‑related financial tracking and maintain detailed documentation. Maintains accuracy, thoroughness, and follow‑through in a fast‑paced environment. Completes tasks efficiently and continuously seeks to improve productivity. Follows instructions and responds well to management direction.
