This role is not entry-level and not residential or multi-family. We’re looking for someone who knows commercial tenant improvements, works well independently, and takes full ownership of their projects from start to finish. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to:
Preparing estimates, take-offs, and material pricingAssisting with project documentation and cost trackingCoordinating and communicating with subcontractors during biddingConducting site visits and job walksManaging temporary site needs (dumpsters, storage, restrooms, equipment, etc.)Preparing and distributing budgets, RFIs, submittals, subcontracts, and change ordersSupporting project close-out documentation

What You’ll Do
Supervise all aspects of on-site operations across multiple commercial projects from Ft. Myers to TampaCoordinate subcontractors, schedules, and materials to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budgetEnforce safety standards and ensure compliance with state and local building codesServe as the primary on-site representative, maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, and tradesReview plans, RFIs, and field conditions to make proactive, informed decisionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, inspectors, and subcontractorsWhat We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years as a Commercial Superintendent (tenant improvements, renovations, or build-outs preferred)Mobility: Based in or near Punta Gorda, with willingness to travel throughout the Ft. Contact subcontractors to confirm bid participation and address questions.Coordinate and lead job walks, ensuring accurate project understanding for bidders.Procurement & Site Support
Order temporary jobsite facilities such as storage containers, dumpsters, restrooms, and equipment rentals.Assist with procurement for self perform work, including concrete, steel, framing, drywall, division 10, etcSupport project setup, mobilization, and close-out processes.
Qualifications
Experience in a commercial construction environment.Strong understanding of the tenant improvement (TI) construction process and general project management workflows.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive with limited supervision, taking full ownership of tasks and accountability for outcomes.Resourceful, proactive, and positive—especially under challenging or changing project conditions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project); Bluebeam, Sage 100, experience with construction management software is a plus.
