Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Working Foreman Plumber to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will perform a variety of plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards. The position includes participation in an on-call support rotation to handle emergency services, providing opportunities for additional compensation. Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drains, and sewage systems in residential and commercial settings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctions, using appropriate tools and techniques.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to plan and execute projects efficiently.
Collaborate with team members, including apprentices and other tradespeople, to complete jobs on time and within budget.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining issues, solutions, and preventive maintenance to clients.
Participate in an on-call support rotation (typically one week every 4-6 weeks) to respond to after-hours emergencies, with time-and-a-half pay for on-call hours.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on jobs.
Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Assist in mentoring junior staff and contributing to team training as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Journeyman Plumber license in Montana.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a working plumber in residential and/or commercial environments.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, and best practices.
Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment; ability to supply basic plumbing tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation required.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Availability for on-call rotation and occasional overtime.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive starting hourly wage of $38 - $46, based on experience and qualifications. Work week of 40hrs to 50hrs a week.
