We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Foreman with a strong background in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This position is responsible for leading sheet metal crews in the installation, fabrication, and coordination of HVAC ductwork and associated systems on construction projects. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience, a deep understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards. Must live in the Upstate of South Carolina to be considered for this position or willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise teams of 3-10 workers in the fabrication and installation of HVAC duct systems for commercial and industrial projects.Familiarity with duct takeoff, submittal management, and various duct connections – snap lock, TDC, ductmate, slip & drive, etc.Interpret HVAC plans, shop drawings, and blueprints to ensure proper layout and execution.Coordinate work schedules and ensure crew productivity aligns with project timelines.Ensure compliance with all mechanical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.Conduct job site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts.Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate work and solve problems proactively.Maintain accurate material lists and coordinate deliveries and inventory on site.Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen in best practices, safety protocols, and company procedures.Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and documentation as required by the project.Enforce and lead by example in the implementation of OSHA and company safety procedures.Requirements

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of large-scale and complex HVAC construction and retrofit projects from initiation to completion. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. In addition to managing projects directly, you will play a critical leadership role promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement across all project teams.
Ideally, you have 8+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a focus on HVAC and estimating, though a lack of HVAC specific experience is not a disqualifier.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee project operations, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and training.Facilitate regular one-on-one and team meetings to monitor progress, provide technical troubleshooting, and ensure alignment with project and company goals.Support the professional development of project team members, helping to build knowledge in project controls, HVAC systems, and best industry practices.Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, and budget.Supervise and coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure successful execution.Monitor project progress and implement strategies to mitigate risks or delays.Review and approve project budgets, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.Ensure proper project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and close-out packages.Visit jobsites regularly, inspect work for compliance, update field with current documents, and monitor safety.
