Third Judicial District Treatment Court Programs Seeking Full-Time Drug Screening Technician (40 hours a week per Technician) Temporary position, contingent upon funding Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED English and Spanish fluency a plus Pass a criminal background investigation Must be a minimum of 21 years old Military background and/or medical tech experience a plus Essential Job Functions: The contract urinalysis technician will be trained and responsible for conducting drug and alcohol testing in accordance with evidence based practices, through the incorporation of accurate, reliable and scientifically valid procedures. Must have own transportation Administer and track breath and/or directly observed urine drug tests Document all interactions with program participants in case management system Help Maintain current case files Perform OBSERVED specimen collection per NM Treatment Court Standards Ship specimen samples to the lab daily Ensure participants are served with respect and dignity Maintain equipment and drug testing supplies Maintains the highest level of confidentiality, privacy, and security Other duties as assigned Must obtain limited liability insurance and tax ID Please note: Employees may be exposed to fluctuating outdoor and building temperatures, hostile or violent situations that may arise when dealing with individuals involved in court cases, distributing and handling of hazardous court exhibits, and contagious health conditions. Must be available to work a random schedule Monday Saturday, some Sundays and holidays between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm as scheduled.
