Position: Shipper-Receiver
Location: Conyers, GA
Wage: $23.13 per hour
Shift: 1st shift M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm - overtime may be required based on business needs.
While reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for performing tasks that are necessary to provide high quality, efficient, timely operation in the Shipping and Receiving Department. You will be required to learn and manage both raw and finished good inventory in the plant. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects during the shipping and receiving process. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.
What you will be doing:
Safety in the workplace is paramount. When operating a forklift or clamp truck, procedures must be followed to ensure the safe operation of the PIT.Position requires a self-motivated individual who can multi-task in a fast paced shipping/receiving and warehouse settingComplete daily forklift inspection report (OSHA requirement) – report all mechanical and electrical problemsProvides safe, effective, and efficient goods delivery while maintaining positive customer relationsCheck and verifies product tags, markings, and labels for accuracy while in the process of loading or unloading trailersPrepares labels and C of A for shipmentsMove materials between plant and warehouse and to other shipping/storage areasLoads and unloads transport trailers and processes associated paperworkVerifies inventory levels and assists with inventory counting; arranges and sorts warehouse stockMaintains cleanliness of the area and follows good housekeeping proceduresComputer proficiency necessary for invoicing shipments and setting up shipmentsPerforms all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of safety and qualityOther duties as required Overtime required at timesThis position is in our Thermosafe plant in Conyers, GA. We are producing temperature assurance packaging components designed to passively maintain the temperature of pharmaceutical products during transportation.
