Located in Morristown, TN 45 minutes northeast of Knoxville, Precision Boilers manufactures industry-leading electric and fuel-fired hot water boilers and steam generators plus a wide range of accessories such as deaerators and blowdown tanks. We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Mechanical Engineer with expertise in ASME codes and standards to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license and have experience in designing, analyzing, and certifying pressure vessels, piping systems, and mechanical components in compliance with ASME standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Design and analyze mechanical systems and components in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) and ASME B31 piping codes. Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. Lead or support pressure vessel and piping design projects from concept through fabrication and inspection. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions. Stamp and approve engineering documents as required by PE licensure Work directly with Sales and Manufacturing. Follow customer specifications to complete product designs. Work with Mechanical Designers to select components, develop drawings and maintain as-built revisions. Advise Mechanical Designers in the creating and modifying of 3D models and 2D drawings SolidWorks. Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD as needed. Select proper components and generate BOM's. Provide needed calculations for tanks and/or pressure piping components. Work with vendors to introduce new and cost-effective products into our systems. Participate in the inspections of products in various stages of the production process. Help maintain our ASME Quality Control System. Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives to develop better procedures and increase efficiency. Assist Project Management with customer interface and act as a SME for Mechanical Design queries. Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical background (Master's preferred).Active PE license in Tennessee or ability to attain quickly.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on ASME code applications.Strong understanding of materials, welding, and fabrication processes.Skills and Abilities:

· Assist in the production of detailed mechanical drawing and schematics in SolidWorks.

· Work with other designers, code inspectors, and quality assurance personnel involved in designing products.

· Assist manufacturing by helping to improve processes, reduce scrap and improve productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.
· Manages the supply chain and purchasing functions for Vapor Power's two divisions/locations.
· Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
· Develop an appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize production effectiveness and customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
· Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
· Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
· Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
· Develop an effective supplier base that minimizes cost and maximizes quality and responsiveness.
· Develop and align Supply Chain's KPIs to support overall strategic goals.
· Develop and implement best-in-class purchasing and material planning processes to support KPIs.

Education and Experience:
· BS Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or business administration, with MBA desirable.
· Experience with Infor XA and/or mainstream ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.), and AS400/RPG system a plus.
· Engineered-to-order experience in an industrial capital goods environment (high mix/low volume) is highly desirable.
· A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience with progressive responsibility in leading the purchasing / supply chain function.
· A minimum of 5 years previous managerial experience is required.
