Therapeutic Application Practice (TAP) is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Intensive In-Home (IIH) Counselors to provide quality, community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. Position: Intensive In-Home Counselor
Responsibilities:
Provide Intensive In-Home counseling services to children, adolescents, and families.Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with DBHDS, DMAS, Medicaid, and agency standards.Collaborate with families, schools, community partners, and other treatment providers.Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) preferred or eligible under Virginia DBHDS requirements.Valid Virginia driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.Ability to pass a criminal background check and other required screenings.Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.Why Join TAP?

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Skill Building Counselor to provide direct support services to adults and/or children experiencing mental health challenges. This role focuses on helping individuals develop essential life skills to achieve stability, independence, and overall wellness within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Mental Health Skill Building Services (MHSS) in home and community-based settingsAssist individuals with developing skills in:Coping strategiesEmotional regulationCommunication and interpersonal skillsDaily living activities (ADLs)Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) based on client needsDocument services in compliance with DMAS and DBHDS requirementsMaintain timely and accurate progress notes and service documentationCollaborate with clinical teams, case managers, and family membersSupport crisis prevention and intervention as neededEnsure all services are delivered in a person-centered and trauma-informed mannerQualifications
QMHP-A or QMHP-C required (or eligibility)Bachelors degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related fieldMinimum of 1 year experience in mental health or human services preferredKnowledge of community-based behavioral health servicesStrong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage a flexible scheduleRequirements
