    The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the purchasing department. This position will be responsible for ensuring all purchasing needs are planned and fulfilled on time and in full. A primary objective of the position is to ensure positive profitability by securing raw materials within budget and meeting or exceeding the set gross profit margin, as well as, contracting all essential vitamins and minerals at proper volumes.



    Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

    Oversee the Purchasing Department & StaffManage annual RFQ/Bid process and purchase contractsMaintains all vendor contactsDetermine if materials are cheaper to be made in house versus purchased outrightHandle vendor relations including but not limited to price and term negotiationsTravel to other WG locations as needAttend Tradeshows as neededAssist with other projects as neededOversee the following tasks:Get quotes for updated cost on raw materials for pricingUpdate pricing database with current raw material cost as purchased or quotedTrack vendor shipments and provide ETA on lead timesAssist production in determining when and which raws need to be ordered when sales orders are enteredEnter/place purchase orders for raw materials for all facilitiesSet up pick up/delivery for raw material shipmentsPlace orders for inventory supplies, plant PPE, etc.


    Minimum Training, Education, and Experience Requirements:

    Job Description


    Manufacturing Production Operators are responsible for mixing raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets. Production Operators operate within Blends, Spray Dry, Super Coat or Rice or Packing.


    Job Responsibilities

    Follow SOPs, GMPs, Food Safety, Human Safety, and company policies. Maintain a disciplined and methodical approach to each blend being accountable for the results of the produced lot. Perform housekeeping in assigned areas and in other areas of the plant. Maintain a teamwork attitude to assist others or work in areas that you may not be primarily assigned to.


    Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

    Set up and start mixing tank(s) and blender(s).Obtains and understands all documentation for making batches. Ensures correct ingredients are used for each batch.Pouring powders into mixer(s) in predetermined quantities up to and including fifty-five pounds.Operates equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely.Follows lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements.Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, sealing, package counts and evaluating product or package appearance.Communicate with material handlers and packers when materials are needed and batches are ready to pack.Complete all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.Observes safety requirements set forth by the company.Operates a forklift, manual pallet jack or other equipment to move empty pallets, bags, and other supplies.May be utilized to package products.Performs other duties as required and directed.

    The production environment is exposed to cold and heat. The employee will work inside and outside and may be exposed to several elements (i.e., dust, noise, extreme cold and heat) and a variety of working environments.Dusty environment requires FIT test for respirator use. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required such as bump caps, gloves, and safety toe footwear.Work conditions also include elevated areas, ascending/descending, and working on ladders, scaffolding, and portable work areas/platforms will also be required.May be required to frequently stand for 85 percent and walk around for 10 percent of shift.The job also requires working in confined spaces to inspect, repair, and troubleshooting inside process equipment and other confined access.


    Production Worker Requirements and Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required.2+ years experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred.Forklift trained preferred.Must be available for occasional overtime, weekends, and some holidays.Capable of reading and comprehending documents, scales, and safety manuals in English.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.     The laboratory technician is a trained, qualified individual that performs physical and chemical analysis of raw material and finished product samples received into the testing laboratory. The technician must perform all job-related duties in a safe, organized, and efficient manner to assure the site is compliant with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The Analytical Laboratory Technician is responsible for the accurate handling, preparation, and testing of raw material and finished good samples by following Lab Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs). The technician is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of testing results and initiating investigations when results do not conform to specifications under the guidance of their supervisor and other senior analysts.

    Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:

    Receive and record samples upon arrival into the laboratory.Calibrate instruments as required and ensure the instrument works under proper conditions.Prepare reagents and standards on a scheduled basis.Follow daily testing schedule set by The Lab Supervisor to prioritize sample testing order.Perform sample preparation and analysis based on related SOPs.Inspect instrumentation routinely for potential issues/errors.Troubleshoot instruments/equipment with training.Troubleshoot potential testing issues, under the supervisors guidance.Analyze, record and review Quality Control samples and data.Document and record testing results accurately in lab notebooks and/or electronically where applicable.Maintain a clean work area, instrumentation and/or equipment.Complete Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting records.Maintain testing records and retain samples.Other duties as required

    Minimum Training, Education and Experience Requirements:

    One-year related experience and/or training in an analytical testing laboratory; orequivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of the basic principles and laboratory applications of chemistry, biology, and microbiology.Knowledge of current laboratory facilities, methods, equipment, materials, and ability to perform standardized chemical and microbiological examinations independently.Must be able to work in a collaborative environment as well as performing individual assignments.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
