Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in meal preparation within the food service or restaurant industry. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our guests receive high-quality meals that meet our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
Knowledge of dietary aide practices and familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus.
Strong skills in meal preparation, food service, and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
