    What your day looks like: 

    The Administration Manager is responsible for managing and developing a team of administrators whose goal is to support the procurement/logistics teams, the warehouse team, as well as soy plant, transload, and organic teams, and the Commercial Director WGP.  This role and team are responsible for managing the processes and data with respect to ingredient vendors, purchase orders, purchase costs, inventories and ingredient pricing.  The position and team play a pivotal role in executing a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.  A significant portion of the administrative function of this role is Ad-Hoc, including leading efforts to set up new business processes as the business grows (e.g. import vessels, organic trading business, third party warehouse sites, etc.).  This role is the primary source for weekly ingredient price recommendations to the Commercial Director WGP and making pricing decisions.  As part of this work, the position monitors recent cost trends of ingredients, including replacement values on bag and bulk commodities, and helps compile data to support the weekly price setting process, including ensuring that the new prices are accurately reflected in the system.  This pricing responsibility often includes its own Ad Hoc activities, including supporting customer specific requests, collaborating with the nutrition group on diet/ration opportunities, new item set up, etc.  The position contributes to success of the overall ingredient margin metric by identifying opportunities and protecting against margin leakages.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     Support procurement teams through vendor management, contract management, purchase order management, and processing of transactions.Ensure that vendors are paid timely and accurately while minimizing overpayment risk  Ensure that transaction processing is timely and accurate.Ensure adherence to Wenger procurement policies. Monitor Nutrify’s accounts receivable balances and coordinate with the Buyers and Corporate AR to collect payment in a timely manner. Monitor ingredient costs including the application of appropriate cost rules. Lead efforts to set up efficient and effective processes for new business activities within the Nutrify business.  Monitor vendor data and cleanse aged or erroneous data. Ensure processes are in place to maximize discounts and rebates.Oversee ingredient receipt application  Work effectively with suppliers to solve invoicing and operational challenges. Work to create sustainable processes within our costing and pricing methodology Recommend weekly ingredient prices, based on standard pricing process. Compile and distribute ad hoc customer pricing requests Understand and communicate supply and demand cost and price trends for nutrient sources available within competitive geography. Collaborate with purchasing personnel to ensure booking programs (contracts) are covered and generate appropriate documentation. Compile ingredient and finished feed booking indications. Support customer specific pricing requests. Support budgeting processes on an as needed basis Collaborate with Nutrition and Operations on item / customer/ ration impacts. Ensure processes are in place for the collection of replacement values on certain bulk ingredients.Identify and implement ingredient margin opportunities. Manage and lead process improvements. Manage and develop team members. Liaison with IT to develop reports and other technology needs. Manage all other business responsibilities and activities as they are assigned. Manage vendor relationships for the rock product segment.

    Position summary:

    The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all meat products meet company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role supports food safety initiatives, monitors production processes, conducts inspections and testing, and helps maintain compliance with USDA, HACCP, and company policies. 

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

     Quality & Food Safety Monitoring 

    Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. 

    Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and prerequisite programs (PRPs) to ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines. 

    Verify sanitation, temperature controls, labeling accuracy, and product specifications. 

    Inspect production lines to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). 

       Documentation & Recordkeeping

    Accurately complete QA forms, logs, and reports in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

    Maintain organized documentation for audits, sampling plans, and traceability programs.

    Assist in preparing for USDA audits and third‑party food safety certifications.

       Testing & Analysis

    Conduct microbiological or chemical tests as required using approved procedures.

    Collect products, environmental, and swab samples for laboratory analysis. 

    Report deviations and assist in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

       Compliance & Continuous Improvement

    Ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS regulations, and company quality and safety policies.

    Communicate non-conformances to supervisors and participate in corrective action processes.

     

    Support training efforts on GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety protocols.

     Qualifications and Requirements:  

    Qualifications:

    Position Summary

     

    The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing workplace safety programs within a meat processing facility. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, USDA, and company safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all departments. The Safety Manager works closely with production, maintenance, HR, and leadership teams to prevent injuries, maintain regulatory compliance, and create a safe working environment for all employees. In addition the Safety Manager ensures environmental and waste water compliance.  

     

    Key Responsabilities

     

    Safety Program Management 

    Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s health and safety programs in accordance with OSHA, USDA, and company policies. 

    Conduct routine plant safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards and unsafe practices. 

    Lead investigations for workplace injuries, near-misses, and incidents; determine root causes and corrective actions. 

    Manage fire protection alarm, suppression and compliance through third party 

    Manage facility-wide safety initiatives, including PPE requirements, ergonomics programs, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hazard communication, and machine guarding. 

    Manage workers compensation, return to work program, and litigation, and vendor management for work related injuries 

    Training & Compliance 

    Provide safety training to employees, supervisors, and leadership, including new-hire orientation. 

    Maintain accurate records of safety training, incident reports, OSHA logs, and compliance documentation. 

    Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, USDA/FSIS guidelines, and relevant state and federal safety laws. 

    Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations 

    Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third-party certifications. 

    Emergency Preparedness 

    Develop and maintain emergency response plans for fire, chemical spills, ammonia systems, severe weather, and other facility risks. 

    Conduct emergency drills and support crisis management planning. 

    Oversee first-aid supplies, safety equipment, and coordination with emergency responders as needed. 

    Employee Engagement & Culture 

    Build strong relationships with employees at all levels to promote a proactive safety culture. 

    Lead safety committees, toolbox talks, and employee safety engagement programs. 

    Encourage hazard reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives. 

    Collaborate and engage  with external Wenger Group Safety Teams. 

    Data Tracking & Reporting 

    Track and analyze safety metrics, KPI’s,  trends, injury rates, and compliance status. 

    Prepare regular safety reports for leadership and participate in management meetings. 

    Implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness. 

     

    Supervision 

     

    Coach, manage, develop and direct one direct report. Provide accountability, training, and performance goals.  

     

     Qualifications and Requirements: 

     

    Qualifications:  

    Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered. 

    3+ years of experience in workplace safety, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.

    Waste Water and Environmental Knowledge

    Position summary:

    Under supervision a packer will be able to perform, stage, wrap, box, and weigh all fresh or smoked meats and associated products. Additional responsibilities include recording correct weights on boxes and checking correct products enclosed. Make sure products are uniform prior to wrapping and boxing and ensure packaging is uniform and attractive. Trim excess or unwanted material when needed. Separate products into proper classification and visually inspect for unacceptable flaws or TQC concerns. Then preform final quality checks prior to release and maintain safety, sanitary, and TQC or USDA standards.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Director of Nutrition is a strategic technical position establishing a competitive edge to the business and its customers with nutrition advisory and leadership, expanding market presence and technical support. This high-profile role calls for a profound understanding of the animal nutrition segment, the value of nutrition, and its needs in large production systems and dynamics of delivery. This position focuses on expanding market presence by strengthening client relationships and acquiring new business through tailored solutions.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Nutrition Advisory & Leadership (30%)

    Strategically position Wenger Nutrition Services as the preferred partner for protein producers by analyzing client needs, developing custom programs targeting future state, and demonstrating measurable results in a research and commercial environment.Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market intelligence to guide innovation and service development for both current and new products and technologies.Serve as a techno-commercial expert, linking nutrition strategies to economic outcomes and ROI.Promote in-house capabilities (e.g., profitability modeling, lab support, risk management, food safety programs and certified processes) to build credibility of expertise and control on the supply and nutrient channel and customer trust.Engage directly with clients through farm visits, training their live production and technical teams on nutrition, and performance troubleshooting.Stay current on global nutrition research and apply findings to improve client outcomes.Collaborate with R&D, labs, and relationship teams to develop and test new programs.Represent TWG at industry events and in media to reinforce leadership in animal nutrition.

    Technical Support (30%)

    Provide responsive, insightful technical support to internal teams and customers.Investigate and resolve nutrition-related issues and complaints.Train Relationship Managers and support the sales process with technical expertise.Analyze research trial data to inform strategies and solutions.Work with Formulations and Procurement to optimize ingredient use, cost, and availability.Ensure supplier compliance with quality and regulatory standards.Support marketing and training efforts with technical content and documentation

    Market Expansion (20%)

    Deepen relationships with existing clients through integrated support services.Partner with Relationship Managers to identify and develop new business opportunities.Acquire new clients by understanding their systems and tailoring solutions to their goals.Design and deliver custom training programs with internal and external experts.

    People and Resource Management (20%)

    Lead and develop a high-performing nutrition team through hiring, coaching, and training.Implement SOPs and systems to meet customer expectations and ensure service quality.Oversee the Wenger Animal Nutrition Academy to enhance team expertise.

     EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Ph D in animal nutrition or animal sciences specialized in poultry and monogastric species.5-10 years hands-on experience in developing and delivering large scale, multi-location nutrition services in an integrated or commercial feed setting.Proficiency in feed formulation software, live production applications and interfacing with customer service, feed mill and finance applications.

    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The Transportation Compliance Director provides strategic leadership and direction for the company’s transportation and driving operations, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal company policies. The Transportation Compliance Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all regulatory compliance programs related to the company’s transportation operations. This role will oversee driver compliance, fleet safety, licensing, training, audits, and risk management within the transportation function, while also ensuring efficiency and alignment with the company’s operations. The Director will be a key leader in building a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence across the transportation team.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Leadership & Strategy

    Provide vision, direction, and leadership for the transportation compliance function.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliant and efficient transportation operations.Partner with senior leadership to align transportation compliance objectives with company goals in agriculture production and distribution.

    Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

    Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, state, and local transportation regulations.Oversee driver qualification files, licensing, hours of service (HOS), electronic logging devices (ELD), drug/alcohol testing programs, and vehicle inspection records.Maintain accurate records and prepare for internal and external audits.Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local transportation regulations (FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, state trucking authorities, etc.).Develop and maintain company policies, SOPs, and training programs to ensure compliance.Manage licensing, permits, and registrations across all jurisdictions.Identify compliance gaps, risks, and emerging regulatory issues.

    Safety & Risk Management

    Drive a culture of safety across all transportation operations.Monitor safety performance, analyze incidents, and implement corrective actions.Lead training programs for drivers and staff on compliance, safety, and company standards.

    Operations Oversight

    Oversee the transportation driving function from a compliance standpoint for all vehicles (including all company light vehicles), to ensure safe and efficient product movement.Collaborate with company leadership, operations, logistics, and supply chain teams to optimize scheduling and delivery.Manage vendor relationships for fleet maintenance, fuel, and compliance systems.Ensure vehicles meet inspection, preventative maintenance, and environmental standards.Develop and maintain key performance metrics (KPIs) and performance reporting to support proactive communication and action.       Work in conjunction with other departments to assure seamless transportation and delivery activity throughout the company-wide network        Maintain budgetary responsibility for the Transportation function.  Continuously monitor spending compared to budgets to ensure achievement of department and company-wide goals  

    Team Development

           Lead, mentor, and develop transportation compliance staff and driver managers.       Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field (or equivalent experience).15+ years of progressive experience in transportation compliance, logistics, or fleet operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and agricultural transportation regulations.Experience managing driver compliance programs, audits, and risk management initiatives.Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while driving operational excellence.Ability to balance regulatory requirements with operational efficiency.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Agricultural industry or perishable goods transportation experience preferred.Ability to lead cross-functional projectsHighly effective communicator, both verbally and in writingHigh sense of accountability and follow-throughMust be able to work as a team towards a common goalMaintain a positive attitudeDesire for self-improvement and professional growth
