Job DescriptionJob DescriptionInspectionsAccurately assess mold damage and document findings through detailed reports and photos.Communication inspection results clearly to clients and internal teams.Ask about any previous leaks and potential problem areas.Conduct a thorough moisture inspection starting from suspected leak points and extending to adjacent areas.Evaluate for other possible causes of mold growth if no active leaks are found.Provide a comprehensive visual assessment of the affected areas and key building systems.Document findings including humidity levels, visible damage, odors, microbial growth, and conditions conducive to mold.Project Planning & EstimatingDevelop detailed scopes of work and remediation plans based on inspection findings.Prepare accurate project estimates and budgets tailored to client needs.Coordinate the acquisition of necessary permits and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.Finalize proposals promptly and dispatch them to clients via email.Complete the entire proposal process within 24 hours of the inspection.Client CommunicationPromptly and clearly address client questions regarding proposals and project scopes, ensuring direct, effective communication to support project approval.Respond to all phone calls and emails within two hours, in accordance with company policy, to maintain excellent customer service and build client trust.Engaging Contract VendorsCoordinate with specialized vendors as needed, based on the defined project scope.Typical contracted services for mold remediation may include:Removal of A/C units or water heatersDuct and coil cleaningSupplemental labor services, depending on production capacityPlumbing work as requiredSubmit all vendor invoices to the accounting department promptly after each service visit to ensure accurate and timely processing.Project Management GuidelinesThroughout the project, the Project Manager should:Determine daily staffing needs.Establish the expected project duration.Identify required materials and equipment.Provide the production department with daily updates on staffing, schedules, and resources.Ensure the crew chief receives clear, detailed information about the scope of work.Conduct at least two on-site visits per project for oversight and quality control.Maintain direct communication with the team and authorize additional tasks as needed.Enforce strict adherence to all safety procedures.Notify the client promptly of any additional scope of work and provide supporting documentation.Obtain client approval for any change orders after proceeding.Verify project completion and confirm that the area is ready for post-remediation testing.QUALIFICATIONS:3–5 years in mold remediation, restoration, or related fields; knowledge of inspection and remediation techniques.Strong project management, estimating, and technical reporting skills; proficiency in using project management software; excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to lead teams, solve problems effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure.Strong client communication and relationship-building skills; commitment to high service standards.Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge in construction management, environmental science, or a related field preferredMinimum of 1–5 years of experience in mold remediation, restoration, or a related industryDemonstrated experience managing projects and supervising teams in the fieldExperience with inspections, estimating, and technical reportingCertifications (Preferred but not required)IICRC certifications (AMRT, WRT)OSHA safety training and other relevant industry certificationsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.Experience:Industry Experience PreferredPosition TypeMonday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 pmPhysical DemandsWhile work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
