The Uthe Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Senior HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician with extensive experience diagnosing, repairing, installing, and servicing commercial HVAC equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and government projects throughout the El Paso area and beyond. Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems. Install new HVAC equipment and components according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, checks, and services. Service Systems including: Package Units, Bard Units, Liebert Systems, Stulz Systems, Split Systems, Mini-Split Systems, and Chillers. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC components. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Communicate professionally with customers and project managers. Mentor and support less experienced technicians when needed. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference.Requirements
10+ years of commercial HVAC experience Extensive diagnostic and installation experience Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions Valid Driver's License Clean Driving Record Must be able to pass a background check Certifications including EPA refrigerant handling certification; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or HVAC design are a plus. Skilled in electrical diagnostics with experience using ohmmeters and other testing equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments.Preferred Qualifications
