Job Summary:
We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at a leading grocery store. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, promoting products, and achieving sales targets. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide a warm welcome to the store
- Offer personalized assistance to customers, answering questions and making recommendations
- Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately, handling customer transactions and managing cash and credit transactions
- Utilize POS systems to ring up sales, manage inventory, and track customer purchases
- Upsell and cross-sell products to customers, increasing sales and enhancing customer satisfaction
- Develop a thorough understanding of store products and promotions to effectively communicate with customers
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, handling customer inquiries and concerns
- Provide bilingual support to customers, as needed
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store environment
- Strong sales skills and the ability to meet sales targets
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management
- Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Must obtain Public Notary certification within 30 days of hire (company-sponsored).
