    The Machine Adjuster will be responsible for the adjustments to all equipment in their assigned work cell, all necessary preventive maintenance routines, and coordination of production within the work cell.

    What you’ll do as a Machine Adjuster:

    Maintain machine settings at recommended tolerance levels and monitor all instruments, gauges, fluid levels, and conduct preventive maintenance such as oiling parts, inspection and replacementPerform minor machine maintenance repairs and contact maintenance personnel when necessaryAssist the maintenance personnel with all machine repairsLoad machines with component parts such as hang tabs, tear bands, closure seals and other materials as neededCoordinate maintenance activities and downtime with team membersCoordinate necessary production materials with floor person and team members complying with documentation such as the follower and bill of materialsTrain other operators on operating procedures and standardsDirect work in the work cell in the absence of a team lead or supervisor

    We’re looking for a Machine Adjuster with:

    Knowledge

    Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience At least 2 years of machine maintenance back groundHigh School diploma or equivalent work experienceGood communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to perform all duties of stripper, punch operator, inspector and floor personExperience working with basic hand tools and experience making intermediate mechanical repairs and adjustments

    Strong attention to detail Executes good judgment based on written procedures and guidelinesStrong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and understand technical documentsAbility to recognize machine and quality issues and translate those issues into “root cause”Ability to learn on the job and translate knowledge into sound decisions that will positively impact output and quality.     Physical requirements and working conditions:

    Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:

    Sitting at workstation approximately 10% of work time, standing and walking approximately 90% Lift / push / pull up to 75 pounds.Ability to twist, reach, squat, kneel, and bend Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects and ability to use basic hand toolsFull color visionInvolves moderate risks or discomforts and special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, pallets, trucks, and machines. Employees are required to use hearing protection, safety shoesThis Machine Adjuster position is located on-site in our Erlanger, KY facility

    Primary Purpose of Position:
    Floor Person’s are responsible for coordinating materials needed for each work unit, packaging decks and monitoring the production line for potential problems or issues. A 204 is also responsible for transfer of materials into and out of the work cell.


    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
    1. Review with lead person work to be performed
    2. Review the work orders to determine materials required for the daily production
    3. Coordinate material requirements and ensure all necessary materials are available
    4. Maintain a neat and orderly work area
    5. Make minor adjustments to the machine in absence of an adjuster
    6. Maintains the production board and production reports
    7. Monitors personnel in the unit to ensure adequate numbers for production, schedules breaks and notifies the lead person or supervisor of any personnel issues
    8. Assist or stand-in team members as needed
    9. Prepares product for shipment by picking & packing orders via SAP transactions.

    Basic Qualifications:
    Knowledge
    1. Minimum 1 to 3 years of work experience
    2. High School diploma or equivalent work experience
    3. Basic computer skills and able to work with SAP
    4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal


    Skills
    1. Self-directed and able to safely work at a pace that meets or exceeds the departmental standards
    2. Able to read, understand and follow written instructions in English
    3. Able to perform basic math functions
    4. Team-oriented, has excellent attendance, and professional communication skills
    5. Strong attention to detail
    6. Can work flexible hours with minimal notice
    7. Ability to operate an electric pallet jack on a regular basis. Powered industrial truck training will be a requirement, and successful completion of the Powered Industrial Truck testing will be required.

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
    1. Must be able to wear ALL safety equipment including a safety shoes and hearing protection
    2. Lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs
    3. Standing and walking 90% of work time
    4. Ability to work up to 12 hours a day
    5. Ability to twist, reach, and bend
    6. Requires ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects
    7. Ability to operate a powered industrial truck and motorized hand truck.
    8. At least 20X40 corrected vision
    9. Ability to pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a non-powered hand truck
