The Standard Group, a premier print management and marketing logistics company, is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to help grow our team in our Print and Technology Center in Lititz, PA. The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Accounting and Procurement functions while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Company’s financial information. This role leads the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, oversees financial reporting, supervises accounting and procurement, staff, strengthens internal controls, and partners with leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
The position is designed as a succession opportunity for an individual who demonstrates the leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen necessary to advance into the role of Controller. The Controller will assume responsibility for the Company’s accounting, procurement, compliance, financial reporting, and operational finance functions while serving as a key business partner to the CEO and executive leadership.
Responsibilities:
Financial Close & Reporting
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.Ensure timely completion of all month-end close tasks and financial reporting deadlines.Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.Accounting Operations
Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable (including client collections), fixed assets, cash management, and payroll support.Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.Procurement & Purchasing
Oversee the Company’s procurement and purchasing functions.Directly supervise the Purchasing Manager.Review vendor performance, purchasing trends, and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.Partner with Operations to strengthen purchasing, inventory controls, and supplier relationships.Leadership & Staff Development
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting, administrative, and procurement personnel.Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Internal Controls & Compliance
Maintain and improve internal controls.Support audits, tax preparation, lender reporting, and ESOP-related financial reporting.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Process Improvement
Improve accounting workflows through automation and standardization.Assist with ERP and financial system enhancements.Budgeting & Analysis
Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Perform ROI analysis on capital investments.Provide ad hoc reporting and decision support.Relationships:
Reports directly to the CFO. Interacts with Supervisors, CSRs, Sales Reps, and Administrative personnel in performing the responsibilities of the position. Must be able to work independently as well as with other employees. Must interact with customers, vendors and carriers in a professional and courteous manner as a representative of The Standard Group.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.CPA or CMA preferred.2-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Manufacturing or commercial printing experience preferred.Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting.Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software proficiency.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.High level of integrity and professionalism.Mental and Physical Requirements:

The primary purpose of the Press Assistant position is to assist the Press Operator in the smooth operation of his/her assigned press. This includes all phases of operation (make-ready, run, wash-up, and maintenance). This position could possibly be a rotating 1st and 2nd shift.

Responsibilities:
Inspects all stock loads prior to placing in the press feeder, to determine if the loads are qualified to run. Notifies the Press Operator if any quality problems exist in the loads.Assists the Press Operator in blanket preparation and adjustment for optimum print quality.Mixes dampening solution to specified requirements and tests the conductivity. Makes adjustments when necessary.Loads ink in the fountain and assists the Press Operator in ink preparation.Ensures that everything needed for the next job is brought to the press (while the current job is running) and checks for complete and accurate information on the job ticket and related materials.Loads paper and operates and maintains the continuous feeder and delivery system throughout the press run to eliminate unscheduled down time.Washes the inking system.Cleans the dampening system.Cleans blankets, bearers and back cylinders.Performs general cleanup of the press and press area, returning tools and supplies to their appropriate storage area.Assists on presses and in other areas of the pressroom as needed and qualified.Knowledge and Skills Required:
The Press Assistant must understand the sequence of production operations in the press department. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and converting fractions into decimals and vice-versa. Ability to solve ratios and proportions from job ticket, read and calculate weight measurements. Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a team environment. Good problem solving skills to be able to recognize, identify, analyze, generate alternatives, and communicate with others about problem situations.

The primary purpose of the Digital Print Operator position is to assume responsibility for producing a quality digital print product while meeting TSG and customer expectations. This can include but not limited to operating a digital multi color or one color press, press maintenance, and any other processes associated with the digital department. This position may require rotating 8-hour shifts depending upon the press assignment with overtime and weekends as assigned. A background check is required.
Responsibilities:
Ripping files produced from static and variable data files using a digital press or other digital print equipment.Digitally manipulating color calibration set-up to meet expectations for color target.Reviewing all proofs and final product samples produced on digital equipment before releasing to internal or external customers.Conduct regular and special maintenance on equipment to achieve maximum machine performance based on equipment specifications and acquired knowledge of machine operations.Checks work and assumes responsibility for accuracy and quality before passing the job on to the next step.Reports unusual wear, machine noises, and other faults of the digital equipment to the POD Supervisor.Sets up and operates the various bindery machines to produce a job in an efficient an timely manner while meeting the customer's and TSG’s quality standards.Performs various other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Digital Supervisor.Knowledge and Skills Required:
The Digital Print Operator must be able to set up, run, and maintain any of the machines in the digital department. Must understand the work flow and sequence of production operations in the digital department. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and converting fractions into decimals and vice-versa. Ability to solve ratios and proportions from job ticket, read and calculate weight measurements. Must be able to read and estimate measurements of time, apply rounding and estimating to solve paper and material problems, and read and use a ruler, tape, or other calibrated scale to measure various lines and stacks of materials.
