    The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a client-focused law firm in Austin, TX and we are seeking a personable, commercially minded Intake Attorney to help prospective clients understand their legal options and determine how our firm may be able to assist them.

    This is not a traditional litigation or case-management position.

    The Intake Attorney serves at the front end of the client relationship, reviewing pre-screened matters, conducting consultations, identifying potential legal needs, explaining the value of the firm’s services, and helping qualified prospective clients move from their initial consultation to becoming signed clients.

    Schedule: Full-Time | Remote | Hybrid | depending on location

    What You’ll Do

    Key Responsibilities

    Review intake notes, case facts, documents, and relevant background before consultations
    Conduct scheduled and occasional live consultations with pre-screened prospective clients
    Build trust and rapport quickly during approximately 20- to 30-minute consultations
    Identify the prospective client’s legal problem, goals, and immediate concerns
    Evaluate matters at a high level and identify potential services the firm may provide
    Explain Baker Law Group’s teams, experience, services, fee structure, and approach
    Match prospective clients with the appropriate attorney and internal practice group
    Develop a proposed scope of work based on the client’s needs and firm guidelines
    Recommend appropriate initial retainer using established firm pricing and service information
    Clearly explain the value of legal services and the benefits of timely action
    Prepare thorough and accurate post-consultation notes
    Enter scopes of work and matter information into Salesforce
    Review proposed fee agreements for accuracy before they are sent to prospective clients
    Confirm that the correct services, attorneys, parties, and signatures are included
    Collaborate with the intake, administrative, sales, and legal teams
    Help qualified prospective clients move efficiently from consultation to signed engagement
    Maintain a positive, professional client experience, even when a case isn't a fit

    What We’re Looking For

    Qualifications & Experience

    A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
    Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and good standing
    Prior legal practice, legal intake, client consultation, or comparable experience
    Broad legal experience is helpful, but candidates do not need to be experts in every practice area
    Experience in one or more of the following areas would be especially helpful:
    Family, business, commercial, employment, Real estate & construction law
    General civil litigation & probate and estate planning
    Pre-litigation and demand-letter matters
    Contract disputes & defamation or other civil claims
    Business and employment experience would be particularly valuable because those areas currently generate meaningful intake volume

    Additional Skills & Attributes

    Ability to explain legal services, fees, and value in clear, accessible language
    Strong client-facing communication skills, sound legal judgment & strong issue-spotting ability
    Comfortable discussing multiple areas of law & ability to build confidence and rapport quickly

    In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between vendors, internal teams, and client stakeholders, you'll drive projects to successful completion by ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

    What You’ll Do

    Key Responsibilities

    SFR Turns & Renovations

    Manage property turns and renovations from intake through closeout, including scope review, scheduling, execution, quality control, and invoicing readiness
    Coordinate multiple trades, including paint, flooring, drywall, trim, landscaping, trash-outs, punch work, and minor plumbing/electrical
    Maintain project timelines and communicate risks related to access, materials, or vendors

    Vendor & Trade Partner Management

    Source, onboard, and manage subcontractors and vendors across the market
    Schedule crews, confirm start dates, and track project progress
    Ensure vendors meet approved scope, pricing, quality, and timelines
    Build and maintain a network of reliable, high-performing trade partners

    Quality Control & Closeout

    Perform site inspections to verify quality and completion
    Create and manage punch lists through resolution
    Document work with before, during, and after photos
    Minimize rework through clear scopes, pre-job alignment and consistent oversight

    Client & Stakeholder Communication

    Serve as the primary contact for vendors and client stakeholders
    Provide timely updates on project status, blockers, timelines, and next steps
    Ensure compliance with client documentation, approval and reporting requirements

    Systems, Documentation & Reporting

    Track projects in the company’s workflow and project management systems
    Maintain complete job files, including bids, change orders, approvals, invoices, and closeout documentation
    Track KPIs, including cycle time, cost variance, vendor performance, and rework rates

    What We Are Looking For

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of project management experience in construction, renovation, or maintenance
    Experience with Single-Family Rental (SFR) turns or institutional rental portfolios
    Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
    Vendor management experience, including scheduling, accountability, and quality control
    Knowledge of SFR turn scopes, including paint, flooring, punch work, landscaping, make-ready, and light rehab
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with REITs, iBuyers, or large property management platforms
    Experience with Monday.com, Appian, CompanyCam, or similar platforms
    Estimating, bidding, and change order management experience
    Bilingual (English/Spanish)
