    The Staff Pad is seeking a Behavioral Health Unit Manager to oversee the operations and clinical leadership of an inpatient and community-based behavioral health program. This role works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The Unit Manager provides administrative and clinical leadership, ensuring a professional, collaborative, and patient-centered care environment.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead daily operations of the Behavioral Health Unit, including staffing, patient flow, and service delivery

    Develop and maintain high-quality treatment programs and departmental policies

    Manage budgeting, strategic planning, and performance improvement initiatives

    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards

    Recruit, mentor, and supervise clinical and administrative staff

    Collaborate with Medical Director and leadership to support organizational goals

    Qualifications:

    BSN required; Post-graduate degree preferred

    Active RN license in Montana

    Minimum 5 years of behavioral health leadership or management experience

    BLS, SECURE (or equivalent), and Mental Health First Aid certifications required

    Epic experience preferred

    Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills

    Skills & Aptitudes:

    Ability to lead change, improve processes, and promote a just culture

    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

    Commitment to patient safety, staff development, and regulatory compliance

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will support physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures

    Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information

    Assist with clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems

    Schedule appointments, manage phone calls, and handle patient inquiries

    Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations with pharmacies and insurance providers

    Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly equipped

    Comply with all healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

    Current CMA certification 

    CPR certification

    Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

    Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems

    Work Environment:
    This role may require standing for extended periods, assisting with minor medical procedures, and interacting with a diverse patient population in a fast-paced clinical setting.

    Summary:

    The Staff Pad is honored to partnered with a non-profit healthcare system in Helena, Montana with superior care and a hometown commitment to be the gold standard for health care in Montana This position will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.  The LPN will perform standardized, focused nursing assessments of patients by: collecting, reporting and recording objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner.  Data collection includes: observation of the patient condition, change in condition and signs and symptoms of deviation from normal health status. They will participate in the development of the strategy of care in collaboration with other health care members by providing data, identifying priorities, setting realistic and measurable goals, identifying measures to maintain comfort, support human functions and responses, and maintain an environment conducive to wellbeing.  Provide health teaching to patients. 

     

     

    Job Requirements:
          ·         Graduate of technical school of Nursing
          ·         Active Montana Nursing License as an LPN

          ·       Successful Completion of IV Certification of a board approved nursing education program or pre-licensure nursing education program IV therapy course within 6 months of hire.
          ·         BLS Required
