The Spring is seeking a motivated and dependable Childcare Worker for approximately 15 hours per week.
The Spring is a faith-based service provider, shelter, and advocacy organization for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking
Overview We're seeking a compassionate, attentive Childcare Worker to support children in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role provides direct supervision, facilitates age‑appropriate activities, and uses trauma‑informed practices to promote emotional wellbeing and positive behavior.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise children closely and maintain required staff‑to‑child ratiosEngage children in supportive, age‑appropriate activitiesUse positive behavior management and trauma‑informed approachesMonitor safety, emotional wellbeing, and behavior throughout programmingMaintain clean, organized childcare spaces and materialsRespond calmly to behavioral challenges or crisis situationsFollow all safety, confidentiality, and organizational policiesDocument incidents, concerns, and injuries accurately
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED requiredAt least 1 year of experience working with children in a childcare, educational, shelter, or program settingAvailability for afternoons and evenings (up to 15 hrs/week)Experience with children of all ages, including adolescents, preferredCPR/First Aid certification preferredValid driver's license requiredMust be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
