    OVERVIEW:

    Employee, under the supervision of the Shelter Director and Deputy Shelter Director, will be responsible for providing Day program services and supervision to clients.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Establish and maintain a safe and secure environment with an emphasis on non-violent communication and interventionSecure shelter guests’ personal property at intake and at various times throughout the day in designated storage areasAssisting with day program intakes and appointments with day program staffMonitor and assist shelter guests in laundry and day room areasClean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen, day program area, and office areas.Any other duties relating to your job as requested by the Supervisors and/or OfficersOther related duties as required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or equivalentEducation and /or experience in social services/substance abuse is helpfulSome experience with disadvantaged populations, whether through work, volunteering is helpfulMust be at least 18 years old.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to coordinate and manage multiple duties.Ability to prioritize work and multi-task simultaneous projectsAbility to communicate effectively and accuratelyHave good interaction skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)

    Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
