    The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct care and support to patients in a residential behavioral health setting. BHTs promote safety, recovery, and engagement by monitoring patient well-being, facilitating daily routines, and assisting the clinical and nursing teams in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:

    JOB DUTIES:

    Communicate and enforce facility program rules and ensure compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner. Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate. Address problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques.Adhere to time schedulesMaintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staffEnsure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate and legible.Keep clinical records secure at all times.Encourage patient to maintain Recovery post-dischargeAbility to work with diverse personalities. Assist nurses during intake as well as taking vital signs and weights. Notify nurse of any abnormalitiesMay provide for additional holistic activities as per employee’s certification (i.e. Yoga, Massage Therapy, Meditation, etc.). May provide for transportation of patients. During State of Emergency, ensures appropriate Behavioral Health Technician staffing levels are maintained at all times and may be required to remain onsite throughout the State of Emergency period.     Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredAssociates degree and minimum one (1) year experience in BHT or similar patient care role preferredIn lieu of Associate's degree. minimum two (2) years' experience in BHT or similar patient care role preferredGood driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience working with adult patients (18+) preferred.Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred.CPR and Standard First Aid certification or in process of obtaining preferred.

    The IOP Clinician is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. The IOP Clinician will be responsible for patient caseload and will provide group, individual, and family therapy. The IOP Clinician will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments.     4. Uses substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
    to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals and objectives and successfully
    complete treatment.
    5. Assesses patient for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co-occurring mental
    health disorders.
    6. Uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals
    and objectives and successfully complete treatment.
    7. Manages aftercare recommendations and support that will prepare patient for maintaining
    successful recovery.
    8. Provides caseload management as per state requirements.
    9. Participates in crisis intervention with patients as needed.
    10. Participates with multidisciplinary teams such as Financial Case Managers to provide
    appropriate aftercare planning and securing resources.
    11. Completes documentation daily to meet metrics of 92% completion within compliance

    The Physician Assistant provides medical services/ patient care to patients admitted to ARS facilities and throughout treatment within the continuum of care. The Physician Assistant supports and follows the policies, rules, and regulations of the facility as well as the standards of State and Federal regulations. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:


    JOB DUTIES:

    Provides excellent medical care with the ARS philosophy outlined by the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director. This includes knowledge of medications, assessment for medication complications and detoxification protocols, and prescribing medications in general.Demonstrates proficiency using the electronic health record with all required documentation. ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, state regulation, Joint Commission standards and Medical Needs Criteria. These records will be completed and authenticated in a timely manner per policy.This includes but is not limited to the following electronic record documents:

    a. Admission History and Physical Evaluation
    b. Medical Progress Notes
    c. Discharge Summary
    d. Peer to Peer Form
    e. Medication and ancillary orders
    f. Patient Allergies
    g. Diagnosis/ update diagnosis, laboratory Data interpretation and documentation
    h. HIV results positive or negative must be reviewed and documented in the medical record. STD positive results must be communicated to nursing so they can report to the State Health dept as applicable and reviewed with patient to to consider treatment options.

    Understands ASAM criteria and Medical Needs Criteria provided and will document decision making accordinglyScreen for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) including: psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms.Screen for pain and understands treatment strategies for pain including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approaches.Strategies should reflect an individualized approach based on the individual’s current presentation, medical judgment and the risks and benefits associated with strategies , including potential risk of dependency, addiction, and abuse.Screen for nutrition deficiencies and make interventions or refer for a nutrition consultation as appropriate.Review any physical examination reports and medical screening results conducted off-site of a client for the preadmissions process or for other medical concerns, in order to ensure that the client's medical needs are considered and addressed in the development of the treatment plan and throughout treatment;Understands and communicates the On-Call responsibilities; will provide contact and back-up numbers, being responsive and available not only when assigned on-call duties, but as backup when medical provider/Medical Director on-call is unavailable. When on call, will be within one hour of the facility in case an emergency that requires going to facility.Implements plans for Performance Improvement as needed.With the Medical Director, develop cost-effective methods to provide medically necessary therapeutic services.Assists in formulating and supporting the highest standards of patient care.With the Medical Director, supervise all Level of Care changes and provides peer reviews when required.Provides supervision/ support to Physician Assistants as required.Understands and abides by all safety/risk, infection control, and other guidelines, as required.If Non-Exempt-turns in time sheets/ expenses to the Medical Director/Designee at the designated time frames.Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Graduated from an accredited Master’s Program or higher. Please note, PA’s that did not have Master’s Programs because they may not have been offered can be considered.Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of practiceMust have a DEA to prescribe controlled medications and have had training on Buprenorphine Prescribing as outlined by the DEA. DEA-authorized prescribers will be required to demonstrate that they have completed at least eight (8) hours of educational training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.Depending on the state practicing, may need a protocol agreement to be completed by the PA and Medical Director.

    Experience:

    Experience in Addiction Medicine/ Primary Behavioral Health preferred.Familiarity with JCAHO and other indicated healthcare standards is preferred.Familiarity with ASAM/ ASAM Criteria and other indicated healthcare standards is preferred.Communication skills to relate to all levels of facility staff.Application of Continuous Quality Improvement and Performance Improvement Team philosophy and ability to develop and apply organizational strategies.

    About the Role

    As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you’ll play a key leadership role in supporting daily nursing operations while ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff support.
