This role involves keeping construction projects on schedule and on budget by working with the project contractors, the client, the Probst Director of Construction Management, and the Probst Engineering Team. This position is located at the project site and typically changes every 8-12 months but may change more frequently based on project needs.
The company will provide a company credit card to cover housing, ground transportation, living expenses, transportation to project sites, and meal allowance. This position will also be provided with a company cell phone and computer.
The ideal candidate would be based in the Hartland, WI, or central Wisconsin area, but candidates based in Wisconsin, Florida, Texas, or Arizona will be considered.
Key Responsibilities for the General Site Superintendent:
Relocate to the job site for the duration of the project as assigned while supporting multiple projectsVerify the site contractors' work completion is in accordance with the project design documents during the construction phase of a wastewater treatment plant project Verify inventory, inspect for damage, and document Probst-purchased equipment for all trades for use in preparing as-built documents Maintain all project documents, which may include but are not limited to supplemental and shop drawings, health and safety program, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) permits, Building permits etc., at all required locationsEnsure implementation and compliance with site-specific health and safety programs as defined by the client contract Ensure all state and local codes are followed, and inspections are completed in accordance with the project timelinesConfirm the project schedule with the Probst Director of Construction Management and the Probst Engineering Project Manager, highlighting completion or delaysSupport the Probst Engineering staff and clients while also maintaining partnerships with contractor teams and partners Utilize Probst's collective knowledge base to identify and solve construction-related field issuesEstablish site office, communications, and wastewater treatment plant equipment storage area on-site Other duties as assigned Requirements: 5+ years' experience in construction supervision 5+ years full-cycle industrial construction experience - with a strong background in civil, mechanical, structural, architectural, or electrical processes10+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Relocation to the job site - anticipated project duration, typically 8-12 months Hold a valid US driver's license Able to quickly and efficiently learn The Probst Group CRM and ERP systems, such as ACC (Autodesk) and Mission Control (Project Management)Willingness to learn and expand wastewater process knowledgeAbility to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, including but not limited to contracts, drawings, P&IDs, geo tech reports, site survey reports, and other specifications Ability to work effectively and professionally with clients, engineering partners, and regulatory agencies Effective oral and written communication skills Always ensure implementation and compliance with site-specific health and safety programsPreferred Experiences:
