    About the Role:

    We are hiring Field Directors to join us on an important and exciting voter registration campaign in partnership with Forward Majority. This campaign is centered on empowering citizens to make their voices heard and creating meaningful change in our democracy. Voter registration is a crucial first step to building political power in our communities.

    For too long, systemic barriers have prevented many Americans from participating fully in our democracy. Voter registration is one of the most powerful tools we have to expand civic participation and ensure that every voice is heard. This campaign aims to change that by registering new voters who agree with our progressive values, such as abortion rights, taxing the wealthy, climate action, and immigration reform.

    We are hiring for Lead Director and Field Director positions. Field Directors will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers who will engage voters and register them to vote. Additionally, the Lead Director will manage a team of one or more Field Directors and will be responsible for building an office to scale from the ground up.

    The Field Director is expected to go into the field themselves multiple days per week to canvass, train staff, and lead by example. They must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Field Director manages canvassers and Team Leads and reports to the Lead Director. The Lead Director reports to the Project Director.

    We are hiring immediately. This position will run through 2026.

    Field Director

    Field Directors work within the director team to build an office to scale from the ground up.     The Field Director is expected to lead by example, canvassing in the field while training and supporting canvassers, play a key role in managing daily operations, meeting voter contact goals, and developing future leaders within the team.

    Responsibilities:

    Compensation: The starting base salary is $1800/week or $93,600 annually for Lead Directors, and $1400/ week or $72,800 annually for Associate Directors; bonuses and incentives will be available based on performance and project.     Responsibilities:

    Hit Campaign Deliverables

    Staff Management  & Team Building

    Manage a team of 8-12 full-time and part-time staff who will sign up an average of 40-60 donors per week. Develop, motivate, and manage a team to hit their goals by ensuring they have the tools and skills to do the job well through training and development opportunities, 1:1 and team meetings, and information sharing on campaign and current events. Identify, promote, and train leaders. Maintain high performance standards and provide consistent feedback and evaluation, holding staff accountable and having tough conversations when necessary; coach the managers you supervise to do the same with their staff.Facilitate an office culture that is fun and professional where people like to come to work and they can show up as their full and authentic selves.Respect and honor all people and ensure managers you supervise do the same.Fundraise with staff to lead by example and offer in-field training to further grow and develop in their role. 

    Oversee Operations and Administration: 

    Create fundraiser schedules, develop turf plans, oversee daily logistics, track field and donor information, process payroll, ensure all tools and technology necessary for canvassers to be successful in the field are available and functional.Anticipate workflow and manage the schedules and quality of work for employees.     The Position 

    2026 will be The Outreach Team’s biggest year yet, and to ensure success in our campaigns we need people who are experts in voter targeting and turf cutting to be the backbone of our ground operations.

    Turf Directors support the work of voter contact and voter registration campaigns by making sure we are reaching the right voters in the right areas each day we canvass. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in VAN, PDI, and GSuite, along with a willingness to learn new mapping and database management systems. We are looking for people who are familiar with the demographic profile and walkability of the districts we’ll be working in, as well as people who share our deep concern for canvasser health and safety. Responsibilities of the Turf Director will include turf packet preparation and cutting; canvass results data analysis; density analysis; data integrity monitoring; turf and precinct tracking; GOTV strategy; historical campaign data analysis.

    Turf Director Responsibilities:

    Job Details 

    Salary: The salary range for this position is $1,154 - $1,412 per week depending on responsibility and experience. Performance bonuses may be awarded at the midpoint and end of the campaign. We offer a generous benefits package, including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, a monthly phone stipend, and hands-on, paid training. At the end of the campaign, there may be opportunities for advancement.

    We are hiring a Field Director to manage our offices in North Carolina. The Field Director will recruit, train, and manage a team of local canvassers to contact voters with Planned Parenthood Votes South Atlantic. They will work within the director team to build an office to scale from the ground up. The Field Director is expected to train voter contact canvassers in the field while canvassing themselves to lead by example; they must also communicate long and short term goals to staff and manage campaign reporting. The Field Director manages canvassers and Team Leads and reports to the Lead Director.

    Additionally, the Lead Campaign Director will manage a team of one or more Deputy Directors, and will be responsible for building an office to scale from the ground up. The Lead Director position reports to the Project Director and the Deputy Director position reports to the Lead Director.

    Canvass Management Responsibilities:
