    The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Scribe for our Portland Dermatology Clinic. The role involves documenting patient visits and procedures in real time and assisting the clinical team to ensure accurate and complete medical records. Responsibilities Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as the physician performs them, using specialized shorthand and acronyms related to dermatology. Enter new patient intake information as necessary and review patient history and notes prior to the appointment. Complete all notes at the conclusion of the appointment to ensure the medical record is complete and accurate. Make necessary changes to patient history and records under the physician's direction. Assist with other duties within the medical department as assigned. Perform any other duties that support department operations. Salary Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $18.65 – $25.23 per hour. Workdays Location Location: Machine Works Building. Free parking is available for employees. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Qualifications Prior experience in a clinical environment is strongly preferred; scribe or dermatology experience is a plus. Current or recent enrollment in a pre-medical program with a desire to continue medical education is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems; EPIC experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, guidelines, and confidentiality rules. Typing speed of 85–90 wpm minimum and excellent written communication skills. Commitment to at least a one-year tenure. Ability to document information accurately while listening to patient encounters. Initiative, independence, and strong multitasking capabilities. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive, team-player attitude and professional communication with patients, physicians, and staff. Dedication to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
