    JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

    The Medical Assistant is adaptable, dependable, and eager to advance their clinical careers. As an essential member of the patient care team, the Medical Assistant will provide both administrative and clinical support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. The MA should deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care, enhancing clinic efficiency, and contributing to an outstanding patient experience. This position also offers the opportunity to be cross trained in patient registration and medical records support, as needed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in completing blood draws and processing labs

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

    High school graduate or GED Completion of a Medical Assistant Diploma program from an accredited educational institute. Medical Assistant Certificate preferred, not required.2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant or related role in an outpatient clinic/medical office setting is preferred.BLS and CPR certification preferred.Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

    Our Front Office staff are important. When you join us, you will influence how we provide care for our patients while acting as a critical member of the entire care team.

    The Front Office Associate will be responsible for performing front office clerical and clinical duties.

    Greet and check-in patients, collect co-pays and payments.Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications - health screening.Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.Promote TOI's culture of exceptional behavioral standards for customer service.Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information.Other duties as assigned.

    Our Front Office staff are important. When you join us, you will influence how we provide care for our patients while acting as a critical member of the entire care team.

    The Front Office Associate will be responsible for performing front office clerical and clinical duties.

    Greet and check-in patients, collect co-pays and payments.Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications - health screening.Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.Promote TOI's culture of exceptional behavioral standards for customer service.Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information.Other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredBilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Clear vision and acute hearing are essential for reading charts and monitoring patients. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are critical, especially under stress. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive tasks are also required, along with sensitivity to patient needs and environmental changes.
